とりいいわちせんがんもんいしぶくもみ西伊豆エリア・岩地・石部・雲見ジオサイト千貫門海の鳥居千貫門 Nishiizu Area ・ Iwachi・Ishibu・Kumomi Geosite Senganmon Rocks Senganmon Rocks : Rock Gate in the sea 烏帽子山 Mt.Eboshiyama 現在地伊豆半島ジオパーク IZU PENINSULA GEOPARK You are here 千貫門 Senganmon Rocks 雲見浅間神社 Kumomi Sengenjinjya Shrine かいしょくどうとりい千貫門は、海食洞が岩の中央部にあるその形から、海の鳥居とも呼ばれ、古みたせんげんもんかちくから雲見浅間神社の門に見立てて「浅間門」とされていましたが、「見る価値せんがんもんあたいが千貫文にも値する」という意味から現在の名で呼ばれるようになりました。たいせきしゅうしゅく火山の根の一部である千貫門には、マグマが冷えるときの体積収縮によっちゅうじょうせつりふくざつえんしゅつてできた「柱状節理」が複雑に折り重なり、迫力ある姿を演出しています。 The Senganmon Rocks are known as the "Sea Torii" ("Torii" is the Japanese word for a shrine gate), so called for the shape of the sea cave at their center. Although they had long been viewed as the gates of the Sengen jinja Shrine, they gained their current name from the idea that viewing them was an experience worth “Sen ganmon” (In Japanese, "Sen" is 1,000 and "ganmon" is an old unit of money). The Senganmon Rocks are part of the volcanic neck. These rocks show a duplicated pillar-like structure "columner joints".
