Evolution of human intelligence by the triadic interaction of neural, cognitive and ecological niches A(Bldg. The dramatic expansion of the brain that accompanied additions of new functional areas would have supported such continuous evolution. Extended brain functions would then have driven rapid and drastic changes in the hominin ecological niche, which in turn demanded further brain resources to adapt to it. In this way, humans have constructed a novel niche in each of the ecological, cognitive and neural domains, whose interactions accelerated their individual evolution through a process of the “triadic niche-‐construction” Graduate School of Biostudies 連絡先 細胞周期学分野 石川冬木 (内線) 4195 The talk will be given in English for a doctoral course class of “Frontier in Life Sciences”, but general audience is very welcome.
