マテリアルサイエンス研究科セミナー(第4回) テ ーマ Graphene for Plastic Electronics Professor W. I. Milne Engineering Department, University of Cambridge and Cambridge Graphene Centre 日 場 時:平成26年7月10日(木)13:00~14:30 所:マテリアルサイエンス研究科Ⅳ棟 8 階 中セミナー室 講演要旨: Graphene is being touted as the new “wonder material” of the 21st Century. It can be produced in a number of ways but the quality and application of the material is very much dependent upon the production process. In this presentation I will begin by briefly describing graphene and its properties. I will then describe the current methods of production and concentrate on the two methods adopted in our laboratory – liquid phase exfoliation and CVD growth and their current limitations. In the remainder of this talk I will concentrate on our work on the application of graphene to the field of plastic electronics, including its use as a transparent conductor and its application in thin film transistors and flexible smart windows. 講演者略歴: 1970 1973 1973 1976 1996 1999 2003 2004 2006 2008 BSc from St Andrews University in Scotland PhD in Electronic Materials from Imperial College London Worked at Plessey Res Co Assistant Lecturer at Cambridge University Engineering Department Head of the Electronic Devices and Materials group Head of Electrical Engineering Division D.Eng (Honoris Causa) from University of Waterloo, Canada Director of the Centre for Advanced Photonics and Electronics (CAPE) Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering Awarded JJ Thomson medal from the IET 参加申込・予約は不要です。直接会場にお越しください。 お問い合わせ先:共通事務管理課 共通事務第三係 (E-mail:ms-secr)
