講演要旨:
Graphene is being touted as the new “wonder material” of the 21st Century. It can be
produced in a number of ways but the quality and application of the material is very much
dependent upon the production process. In this presentation I will begin by briefly describing
graphene and its properties. I will then describe the current methods of production and
concentrate on the two methods adopted in our laboratory – liquid phase exfoliation and CVD
growth and their current limitations. In the remainder of this talk I will concentrate on our
work on the application of graphene to the field of plastic electronics, including its use as a
transparent conductor and its application in thin film transistors and flexible smart windows.
