平井副会長、WTO アゼベド事務局長に ITA 拡大交渉早期妥結を要望
2014 年 5 月 21 日、JEITAの平井一夫副会長は、来日中のWTO事務局長のロベルト・アゼ
ベド氏と面談し、WTO/ITAの拡大交渉の早期妥結を求める、佐々木則夫会長の書簡を直接
手交した。
併せて、5 月 17 日・18 日に中国青島で開催されたAPEC貿易大臣会合に向けITAの拡大交
渉の再開に向けた行動を求める、世界の産業界 81 団体による共同声明を手交した。
JEITA Vice Chairman Mr. Hirai requested swift conclusion of
the ITA Expansion to WTO Director-General Mr. Azevêdo.
On 21 May 2014, JEITA Vice Chairman Mr. Kazuo Hirai met WTO Director-General Mr.
Roberto Carvalho de Azevêdo who was visiting Japan and directly handed him the
statement of JEITA Chairman Mr. Norio Sasaki to urge the early conclusion of the
WTO/ITA negotiations.
And Mr. Hirai handed him the joint paper, the 81 Industry associations from around the
world urging the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) trade ministers gathering
in Qingdao, China May 17-18 to take active steps to restart the tariff-elimination
negotiations to significantly expand product coverage of ITA.
