For the pair work in Eigo Note on p. 55 there is a schedule the students can fill out. The students could write in each subject (9 subjects)
twice (two spaces should be left blank). They can write these subjects in any day they like. The students then ask each other “Do you have
Math on Monday?” “Yes I do” or “No I have math on Wednesday and Friday”. The students then fill out a table that has a place for
students’ names, the subject and the day(s) they have chosen that subject. They do this for all nine subjects, meaning they ask 9 students.
英語ノート p.55 のペアワークでは、生徒に時間割を作成してもらいます。9 科目をそれぞれ 2 時間ずつ用いて表を埋め、2 マスは空欄にして
おきます。それぞれ好きな曜日に記入が終わったら、お互いに “Do you have Math on Monday?” “Yes I do” または “No I have math on
Wednesday and Friday” のように会話をします。生徒には名前、教科、またその教科の曜日を記入できる表に相手の返事を記入していきます。
9 教科すべてに対して質問するため、結果として生徒には 9 人の友だちと会話をしてもらうことになります。
For the students to do this pair work it will take practice. Perhaps this time they only fill out the schedule and don’t do the pair work.
Instead, the ALT and HRT can ask students “Do you have Math on Monday?”, the students look at their schedule they have made and
answer accordingly. This would work as a kind of Group Output to get them ready for the pair work next time (or the time after).
このペアワークをするには練習が必要です。今回は時間割を作成したらペアワークに進むのではなく、ALT や HRT が “Do you have Math on
Monday?” 等の質問を生徒にし、自分が作成したスケジュールに沿って答えるやり方のほうが良いかもしれません。そうすることで、今後行
うペアワークの準備ができます。
