inpatients in the Soma and Futaba
(i.e., SoSo) District on the Pacific
Coast of Fukushima Prefecture
were forced to be closed down.

内待避指示が出された地域にある双
葉厚生病院精神科、双葉病院、雲
雀ヶ丘病院、小高赤坂病院、大野病
院の５病院が閉鎖されたため、約９
００床、７１２人の入院患者さん達
は県内外の病院に移送されたが、外
来の患者さんは通院する病院が無く
なってしまった。

Mental Health Care Center “Nagomi” was established
in January 10, 2012.
This was greatly facilitated by financial assistance
from many organizations, especially, Japanese Medical
Society of America (JMSA; President: Prof. Robert
Yanagisawa (Mount Sinai Univ.) & Vice-President: Prof. Salon
Homma (Coumbia Univ.)). Thanks to them, we
introduced Outreach mental health care for residents.
----------------------------------------------- 2011.6.12「相双地区の新しい精神科医療サービスシステム
の構築を考える会」が開催2012.1.10 「ＮＰＯ相馬広域こころ
のケアセンター：なごみ」の開設
 これは、多くの支援、とりわけ、米国日本人医師会 JMSA
（会長：柳澤ロバート教授（マウントサイナイ大学）、本間教
授（コロンビア大学））の積極的な支援によって実現された。
 それにより、アウトリーチメンタルヘルスケアの充実を図るこ
とが出来た。

“Nagomi” in SIX areas of Fukushima prefecture (i.e., Iwaki,
