まず、いずれも島である。次に、すべて異なる地域勢力によって複数
の支配権主張の対象となった。3 つ目に、そして最も興味深いことに、
一当事者・一か国に対して 100 パーセントの支配と主権を与えること
なく争いの解決が行われたことである。
頭を冷やして、知恵と理性が感情と愛国心にとって代わるとき、尖閣
諸島・釣魚台問題を解決するためにそうした「創造的解決」が進むべ
き道になり得ないだろうか?もしそうであれば、そのような解決はどう
したら積極的に推進できるだろうか?

What is common to St Martin / Sint
Maarten, Vanuatu, Svalbard, Aland, Antarctica, and Picton, Lennox
and Nueva at the tip of South America?
First, they are all islands; second, they were all targets of multiple
claims by different regional powers; thirdly, and most interestingly, the
resolution of the dispute in which they were involved did not assign a
100% control and sovereignty to one party/country.
When heads have cooled, and wisdom and reason take over emotion
and patriotism, might such 'creative solutions' be the way forward for
resolving the Senkaku/Diaoyu dispute? And, if so, how might such
solutions be actively pursued?
