Joint Event with MBA students from University of Maryland
A group of students from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland is coming to
visit WBS on January 13th. Ranked regularly as one of US’s best, Smith School of Business is one of
the most highly-esteemed business schools in the USA. (Full-time MBA rank #17 and student survey
rank #1 by “Business Week” 2014.)
WBS will be holding a joint event including a site visit and a casual lunch meeting as well as a
presentation/discussion session with the Smith students.
We are recruiting WBS students who participate in the event. If you are interested in this valuable
opportunity, please do not hesitate to apply. We are looking forward to your participation!

＜Session 1＞
09:00-12:00 Site Visit at Seiyu-Walmat Logistics Center in Misato, Saitama
（Move from Misato to Waseda by bus & Lunch）
＜Session 2＞
14:00-14:30 Introduction of WBS & Small Lecture “MBA in Japan” by WBS faculty
14:45-16:15 Presentation & Discussion by Smith/WBS students

WBS regular students who can participate in discussion in English

◆ How to Apply:
1) Log into Waseda-net Portal
2) Click “Application” in the “System Service” Group on the left side of the screen.
3) Find the form name “【WBS】メリーランド大学交流イベント Joint Event with Univ. of
Maryland 2015” and open it.
4) Fill out the necessary information and click “Confirmation” button.
*Note: You may apply even if you are not able to attend all sessions. Please indicate which session(s)
you can attend on your application form.
Also, you may skip the first part of Session 2, if you have class on the 3rd period which
overlaps with the session time.

、米国メリーランド大学スミス経営大学院（Robert H. Smith School of
Business, University of Maryland）の学生約 28 名による訪問団がスタディトリップで本学を来
訪されます。
同大学ビジネススクールは、2014 年の Business Week ランキングで Full-time MBA 部門全米
17 位、学生満足度ランキングで全米 1 位にランクインするなど、全米でも屈指の名門校の一つです。
商学研究科ビジネス専攻（WBS）では、交流イベントを企画、以下の要領で参加学生を募集します。
同校の学生と交流することは、WBS の皆さんにも大いに得るものがあるはずです。皆さんの積極的

日本の MBA についてのミニレクチャー
14:45-16:15 両校学生によるプレゼンテーション、ディスカッション
