船上再ガス化装置付 LNG 船「GDF SUEZ NEPTUNE」竣工
当社が Höegh LNG 社(ノルウェー)と共同保有する船上再ガス化装置付 LNG 船「GDF
SUEZ NEPTUNE」が 11 月 30 日に韓国三星重工で竣工、長期傭船契約を締結した GDF
Suez グループ(注１)に引き渡されました。
「GDF SUEZ NEPTUNE」は、米国東岸ボストン沖合の天然ガス輸入ターミナル「Neptune
LNG Deep Water Port」(注 2)向けに建造される 2 隻の船上再ガス化装置付 LNG 船の１隻
目です。2 隻目は 2010 年 5 月に竣工の予定です。
従来の LNG 輸送の枠を超え、船上再ガス化装置付 LNG 船分野への参画を果たすのは、
当社が邦船社として初めてです。
同船は、建造、運航などすべてにわたり、環境に配慮しており、船級協会 DNV よりグリ
ーンパスポート(注 3)を取得しました。
多様化する顧客ニーズに対応するため当社は、船上再ガス化装置付 LNG 船や LNG
FPSO(注 4)などの高付加価値 LNG 船分野の検討を進めており、今後も幅広い LNG 輸送サ
ービスの提供を目指します。
（注１）欧州に基盤を置く世界最大級のエネルギー会社(本社パリ)。2008 年 7 月にフラン
スガス公社(GDF)とスエズの合併により成立。
（注２）マサチューセッツ湾の 35 キロ沖合に天然ガス輸入ターミナルを建設。従来の陸
上 LNG 受入ターミナルに代わり、再ガス化装置を搭載した専用 LNG 船上で積荷
の LNG を再ガス化し、海底パイプラインへ直接送出するプロジェクト。
（注３）IMO(国際海事機関)が定めた｢シップリサイクルガイドライン｣に規定されている、
人の健康または環境に有害となり得る、船上のあらゆる物質の種別と量を記録す
るもの。
（注 4）Floating Production, Storage and Offloading system の略。浮遊式石油ガス生産
貯蔵積出設備。海底にある油井から天然ガスをくみ上げ、船体上で LNG を生産･
液化し、船体タンク内に LNG を貯蔵、他の船に荷降ろしする設備のこと。

Delivery of the Shuttle and Regasification Vessel “GDF SUEZ NEPTUNE”
Tokyo — The first shuttle and regasification vessel (SRV) co-owned by Höegh LNG
(President: Sveinung Støhle ) and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL, headquarters:
Tokyo; President: Akimitsu Ashida) was completed at Samsung Heavy Industries
in South Korea, and was delivered to the GDF Suez group on November 30, 2009.
It will serve on a long-term charter contract between the parties.

GDF SUEZ NEPTUNE is the first of two SRVs which was constructed in
order to provide LNG transportation services to the Neptune LNG Deep
Water Port off the coast of Gloucester, Massachusetts, USA – to be
commissioned in early 2010 – as well as other GDF SUEZ’s projects around
the world.

GDF SUEZ NEPTUNE received the “Green Passport” from Det Norske
Veritas (DNV) certifying the environmental considerations taken when
constructing, operating and ultimately disposing of the vessel.
The vessel, which is the first SRV owned by the Japanese shipping company, is a
part of Mitsui O.S.K. Line’s strategy of satisfying the diversified needs of the
market by providing a broad range of LNG transportation services.
