Dear IS Modena families,
We had happy faces and plenty of enthusiasm from our students returning from their residential trips. Today we
welcome back our G5&6 students after an amazing experience in Umbria and our Middle Years students back
from a wonderful week in Paris. Thank you to our fantastic teachers Ms. Forti, Ms. Ferrari, Ms. Chesterman, Ms.
Whittington and Ms. Thomson, Mr. Bateman, Ms. Miller for the excellent job and great work in making this
experience unforgettable for our students.
Another very busy week ahead of us with more trips and activities planned.

Una fantastica esperienza, ivolti felici e pieni di entusiasmo dei nostri studenti di ritorno dalle loro gite
residenziali. Oggi salutiamo il rientro dei nostri studenti di G5&6 dopo una fantastica esperienza in Umbria e
degli studenti di Middle Years da una bellisima settimana a Parigi.
Grazie ai nostri fantastici insegnanti Ms. Forti, Ms. Ferrari, Ms. Chesterman, Ms. Whittington e Ms. Thomson,
Mr. Bateman, Ms. Miller per l’eccellente lavoro e grande impegno per rendere questa esperienza indimenticabile
per i nostri studenti.
Davanti a noi abbiamo un’altra settimana piena di altre gite e di attività pianificate.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – BUS SERVICE: an employee from AMNE will be in school from 8.15 to 9.15 on June 4th
and from 14:30 to 15:30 on June 6th to have parents sign the bus contracts for 2014/15. All parents who wish to
apply for the bus service are kindly asked to confirm with the office and come into school on one of these dates
at the given times to sign the contract.
AVVISO IMPORTANTE – SERVIZIO BUS: un’impegata della ditta AMNE sarà a scuola per far firmare ai genitori il
contratto del servizio bus per l’A.S. 2014/15 il 4 giugno dalle ore 8:15 alle 9:15 e il 6 giugno dalle 14:30 alle
15:30.
Tutti i genitori che desiderano utilizzare il servizio sono pregati di confermare presso la segreteria e venire a
scuola in una di queste date negli orari indicati per firmare il contratto.
SCHOOL UNIFORM & THE SUN - THE HEAT HAS ARRIVED!
Please remember: to put sun cream on your children or give
them some to keep at school and make sure they have a hat.
Students can wear our white PE shirt instead of the blue shirt on hot days. Also please ensure that
your children are wearing appropriate shoes (flip-flops/thongs can be dangerous when moving around
the school).
Shorts: students can wear shorts to school during the hot weather but they should be dark/blue.
Shorts should also be of an appropriate length (mid-thigh), even with leggings underneath. Hot pants
are not appropriate in the school setting.
UNIFORME SCOLASTICA & SOLE – IL CALDO E’ ARRIVATO!
Ricordatevi di applicare la crema solare ai vostri figli o di darne loro una confezione da portare a
scuola e assicuratevi che abbiano con sé un cappellino.
Gli studenti possono indossare la nostra t-shirt bianca da ginnastica invece della classica polo blu nei
giorni più caldi. Fate anche in modo che i bambini indossino scarpe adatte (le infradito possono essere
pericolose quando camminano in giro per la scuola).
Shorts: gli studenti possono indossare pantaloncini corti quando fa caldo, a patto che siano blu o neri.
Inoltre i pantaloncini devono essere di lunghezza appropriata (a metà coscia) anche se indossati sui
leggings. Gli “hot pants” non sono indumenti appropriati per scuola.

Parking area
All parents must use the public parking area outside the
school gate at all times.
Please remember to lock your cars and please make sure you
don’t leave any personal belongings in the car.
Internal parking area is reserved for staff only and the bus
service.

all’esterno del cancello. Ricordatevi di chiudere le portiere
dell’auto e non lasciate borse e borsette in macchina. Il
