DESCRIPTION
METHOD OF USE
THERMOSILENTRock is a biosoluble rock wool
panel with semi-oriented fibres, treated with thermally hardening resins, with a nominal density of
120 kg/m³. The panel is certified for exterior
wall insulation applications according to ETAG
004 and for environmentally friendly building
applications with EUCEB certification.
The surface must be free from dust and dirt in
general. They must be planar and uniform. Fix
the starting profiles before bonding the panels
(the first row of panels starting from the ground
must be made of extruded polystyrene without
a skin).
It can be bonded with cement adhesives or
paste (such as COATBOND, COATBOND FINE
FIBER, RASOFINE ADHESIVE).
Spread the adhesive onto the panel right around
the edges and in dots in the middle or using a
toothed trowel and proceed with the horizontal
application from the bottom upwards.
Wait at least 24 hours for the adhesive to harden, before plugging with special mushroom
plugs.
On wooden roofs the THERMOSILENTRock
APPLICATION FIELDS
THERMOSILENTRock is used in building for
the thermal and acoustic insulation of perimeter
walls according to the insulated exterior wall
panel technique or as a thermal and acoustic
insulator in roofs that have a low mass per unit
area, such as ventilated and non-ventilated
wooden roofs or sheet metal roofs.
panel is usually laid straight onto the vapourproof sheet or vapour barrier, covering the
surface of the roof completely.
Thanks to its high density and compactness,
the wooden strips for laying the roof tiles or
curved tiles are laid straight onto the THERMOSILENTRock panel and held in place with nails
or mechanical fastening to the starting boards
(hence also including the THERMOSILENTRock panels).
