Biografia
Stefania Murra nasce Veglie (Le) nel 1984. Attualmente residente in Toscana a Cecina (Li).
Da sempre appassionata di arte, architettura e design, ha basato la sua formazione su queste forme di
comunicazione.
Nel 2003 consegue il Diploma di Maturità Artistica presso L’istituto D’arte G. Pellegrino di Lecce, dove conosce e
s’innamora della lavorazione e decorazione della ceramica. Approfondisce i suoi studi con due stage presso la
Scuola D’Arte Ceramica Romano Ranieri di Deruta.
Nel 2006 consegue il Diploma di Laurea Di Industrial Design presso lo IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) con il
progetto di tesi “Area studio dell’Ospedale G. Gaslini di Genova”.
Ad arricchire il suo bagaglio artistico ci sono anche il Master in Arredamento e Design D’Interni e il Master in
Interior Yacht Design conseguito presso ItaliaInFormazione di Lecce e il corso di alta formazione di Hotel
Experience Design presso il PoliDesign di Milano.
Dal 2006 collabora con alcuni dei più importanti professionisti e laboratori artigianali della zona di Lecce, grazie ai
quali acquisisce, approfondisce e matura esperienze nel campo del design, della progettazione d’interni e della
grafica.

Biografia
Nata a Campi Salentina (Lecce) nel 1983, Irene Don Giovanni è una giovane architetto iunior ed interior designer
proveniente da Veglie, comune del nord Salento.
Studia Arredamento e Architettura degli Interni presso la Facoltà di Architettura “Vallegiulia” dell’Università degli
studi di Roma “la Sapienza”, svolgendo un laboratorio di tesi in progettazione e arredamento dal titolo “A
QUALCUNO PIACE CAMPUS – progetto per residenze studentesche a Pietralata, Roma”, tema del concorso di idee
bandito dalla Sapienza per la realizzazione del nuovo polo universitario, seguita dalla relatrice prof. Arch. Marina
Pia Arredi.
Terminati gli studi nel 2008 torna per operare nel Salento, collaborando con diversi professionisti, dove trascorre
maggior tempo della sua crescita professionale svolgendo l’attività di progettazione di interni rivolta sia al
residenziale che al commerciale e ristorativo.
Partecipa ai workshop coordinati dall’Arch. Pierangelo Caramia, docente della Scuola Superiore di Arte moderna di
Parigi, sul design negli spazi espositivi del centro fieristico di Campi Salentina e sul design nella progettazione e
produzione di divani e complementi d’arredo, a cura di Comune di Campi Salentina, Coop. Artemisia ed Epiqure.
Nel 2013 consegue il Master di I livello in Eco-design ed Eco-innovazione promosso e organizzato dalla Scuola di
Architettura e Design "E. Vittoria" dell' Università di Camerino, con una tesi sulla progettazione di un nuovo
sistema di montaggio per una cucina kit, al fine di ottimizzare spazio e trasporto, conseguente ad un tirocinio
formativo presso l' azienda TM Italia Cucine di Ascoli Piceno. Nell’ambito del master ha avuto l’occasione di
collaborare attraverso workshop formativi, con molte aziende del panorama industriale italiano, tra cui, oltre la
succitata TM Italia Cucine, Fulgor Lampadari, Indesit Company, Ifi, Alma - Celli Water division, Revolution-retail
evolution company.
Attualmente vive e lavora a Veglie.

Descrizione tecnica
Il divano O.T.A. nasce dal risultato di un gioco volumetrico che ha dato vita ad un progetto con stile e carattere dal
design pulito, raffinato, essenziale, dinamico, funzionale, versatile, confortevole ed elegante.
Forme diverse, si incastrano con complementi d’arredo in un sistema che cambia a seconda delle esigenze
derivanti dallo spazio e dal tipo di relazioni che s’instaurano dando l’idea di un comfort da vivere nella più totale
libertà. Questo grazie alla possibile rotazione della seduta e alla sua versatilità di configurazione che permette di
usare il divano per rilassarsi o per i più socievoli di conversare senza l’utilizzo di nessun meccanismo, ma solo con
semplici gesti.
O.T.A. racchiude una doppia seduta chaise-longue e un divano biposto “uniti” tra loro da un perno che permette la
rotazione di quest’ultimo, si completa poi con due sedute-pouf e un pratico tavolino che dialogando tra loro
enfatizzandone il carattere informale.
La struttura di O.T.A. è realizzata in legno e ferro imbottito con poliuretano espanso rivestito in Canneté azzurro e
bianco. Le strutture a vista in legno vengono realizzate con multistrato di betulla rivestite con tranciato di frassino
con dettagli in massello, il tutto poi viene sbiancato a poro aperto con finitura naturwood.

Bio
Stefania Murra was born in Veglie (Le) in 1984 and currently is leaving in Cecina (Li), a small city in Tuscany.
She has always been passionate about art, architecture and design and in fact, she’s making all the efforts to
make of this passion her job and define her career.
In 2003 she obtained the diploma of artistic maturity at the Art Istitute G.Pellegrino of Lecce, where she had the
opportunity to learn and love hand working and decorating ceramics. She Continued her studies with two
internships at the school of Ceramic Art Romano Ranieri in Deruta.
In 2006 she received the bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design at the European Institute of Design (IED) with the
dissertation project “Study Area of G.Gaslini Hospital in Genova”.
To enrich her artistic knowledge there are also a Master in Furniture and Interior Design as well as a Master in
Interior Yacht Design at the ItaliaInFormazione of Lecce and the advanced training course in Hotel Experience
Design at PoliDesign of Milano.
Since 2006 she has collaborated with some of the most important professionals and workshops in the area of
Lecce, thanks to which she acquires, deep and mature experience in the field of design, interior design and
graphic design.

Bio
Irene Don Giovanni who is a Junior Architect and Interior Designer was born in 1983 in Campi Salentina, Lecce,
Italy and presently lives and works in Veglie, which is a small town at the north of Salento, Italy.
She studied Interior Design in the Faculty of Architecture "Vallegiulia" at “La Sapienza” University of Rome, where
she also developed her final thesis project which participated on an Interior Design and Architecture Contest
which was promoted for students by La Sapienza University. The mentioned competition, which title was "A
QUALCUNO PIACE CAMPUS" (Some liking campus), was focused on the designing of collective residences for
students in Pietralata, Rome. The purpose of the contest was to build and implement a new campus for the
university. She graduated in 2008 under the supervision of Professor and Architect Marina Pia Arredi.
Thereafter, she went back to work in Salento, where she established a partnership with several professional
designers and architects and where she gained most of her present professional experience in residential and
commercial building interior design projects.
She also attended several exhibition design workshops held at the Exhibition Centre at Campi Salentina, under the
supervision of Designer and Architect Pierangelo Caramia, who is a Professor at “Ecole Supérieure des Arts
Modernes” (ESAM) in Paris, France. She also took part in furniture and sofas design and production workshops
sponsored by Campi Salentina Municipality with the Cooperative Societies Artemisia and Epiqure.
In 2013 Irene attended a postgraduate course in eco-design and eco-innovation techniques, sponsored and
promoted by The School of Architecture and Design "E. Vittoria" at Camerino University. Simultaneously, she
carried out at TM Italia Cucine Company in Ascoli Piceno her final dissertation project focused on a new assembly
system for kitchen units with the purpose to optimizing space and displacement.
During her master sessions and training workshops, she had the opportunity to cooperate with several industrial
companies, among which can be named TM Italia Cucine and Fulgor Lampadari, Indesit Company, Ifi, Alma - Celli
Water division, Revolution-retail Company.

Technical description
O.T.A. Sofa is the fulfillment of a project whose purpose is to show how different volumes can cohexist in the same
space creating a clean, dynamic, flexible and comfortable object of desire and..design!
Different shapes merge with furniture to create a system that change based on the situation, the space and the
people. This is possible thanks to the versatility of the seats that can be moved/rotated and adapted to the
multiple uses of the sofa: a moment of intense relax, a moment to chill with the family or a chat with friends.
There is no need of any technological mechanism to change and adapt the sofa, only few simple movemets.
O.T.A. can be a double chise-longue or a double sofa, simply “fixed” together by a central hub that allows the
rotation, and comes with two seats and a coffee table that mixed all together enphasize the informal atmosphere.
O.T.A. structure has been realised with wooden and iron filled with polyurethan, covered with Blue and white
Cannettè. The wooden structure is made of birch plywood coated with ash veneer and everything is then bleached
with open-pore Naturwood finish.
