®
Mecalithe is a powdered additive improving the effect of cement. The addition of Mecalithe together
with cement in concrete on micro scale has the effect that the normally short crystal structures will
become longer. These ‘long needles’ will connect multiple granules and so a stronger structure is created.
The needle-shaped crystalline compounds can be compared on a microscopic scale with fiber
reinforcement, which is now widely used to get extra strength in a concrete structure. This contributes to

a higher compressive and tensile strength in the concrete, and a better quality. Mecalithe can also be
used to get a higher green strength or to optimize the use of cement.

Opposite to the powder itself, the product can, mixed with
water, cause irritation to the skin.
Use approved nitrile-impregnated gloves bearing the CE approval
mark to prevent dehydration of the skin
approved respiratory protection to EN 149 category FFP2
together with safety glasses should be worn because of dust
formation, or a helmet with respiratory protection where
exposure is heavy.

Recommended dosage :
2-3 % (m/m) relative to the amount of residual cement.

Add to the aggregates before or at the same time as the cement.

Not sensitive to temperature. Best results have been measured at
temperatures from 5˚C.
1 year after delivery in a dry and closed packaging, store in a
dry, frost-free place. Preferably air-tight.
