Earlier the BVS has been studied in a well-controlled environment providing us with a good safety profile. The initial experience in a more complex setting has provided early adoptors with an experience which should be shared with colleagues who are also entering this new era, which is referred to as the 4th Revolution in Interventional Cardiology. For this purpose the two interventional cardiology hospitals in Rotterdam, the city where BVS started its expansion around the world, have joined forces to organize a dedicated BVS course. Our purpose is to offer a practical casebased course on Percutaneous Coronary Interventions with Bioresorbable Scaffolds for interventional cardiologists who want to shift their practice and use BVS in a broad selection of patients. For this purpose we have invited a very experienced international faculty to provide you with their insights, outcomes, and tips and tricks to improve your skills with this device in complex settings. We hope to see you in the Netherlands in April of 2014. Robert-Jan van Geuns Peter Smits Erasmus MC Maasstad Ziekenhuis RotterdamRotterdam Advanced and Practical Case-based Course on Percutaneous Coronary Interventions with Bioresorbable Scaffolds Objectives -- To understand the design principles of bioresorbable scaffolds and the impact on implantation technique -- To learn the optimal bioresorbable scaffold implantation techniques -- To learn the latest clinical outcomes of BVS studies -- To learn practical tips and tricks from experienced operators -- Understand the best techniques for various types of lesions After attending this course, you will: -- Have an in-depth understanding of the difference between metallic stents and polymeric scaffolds -- Understand why the implantation techniques are different -- Be able to reduce suboptimal outcomes -- Be able to address the more complex cases with confidence Scientific Committee Faculty Nicolas Van Mieghem Alaide Chieffo, Italy Erasmus MC, The Netherlands Roberto Diletti, The Netherlands Dariusz Dudek, Poland Yoshinobu Onuma Maciej Lesiak, Poland Erasmus MC, The Netherlands Holger Nef, Germany Richard Rapoza, USA Kees-Jan Royaards Evelyn Regar, The Netherlands Maasstad Ziekenhuis, The Netherlands Manel Sabate, Spain Patrick W.
