Prof. Sucharita Mitra Sarkar
is Assistant Professor and
Head of the Department of
Electronics in the Faculty of
Sciencies at Netaji Nagar
Day College of Calcultta
(India).
Her interest areas are Signal
Processing
with
special
reference
to
Biomedical
Signals, Image Processing,
Pattern Recognition etc. At
present, she is working
towards development of low
cost ECG machines which is
useful for assessing the
health of the masses at a
cheaper
price.
She
is
confident that development of
such machines would be
useful towards reduction of
health expenditure of a
nation. Also, she is interested
in development of Remote
Tele-cardiology System for
Compression, Transmission
and Analysis of ECG signal.
