About
ATLASense Biotech Ltd. is a privately
owned biomedical engineering spinoff
company. ABL draws on the IP and decades
of pioneering monitoring achievements of
Atlas Engineering (www.atlas-arl.com).
Our mission is to develop and produce
multi-parameter, connected health Vital
Signs Monitoring Systems Patch (Pat.
Pend.).
We envision that our flagship monitors will
become a significant backbone enabler in
emerging, next generation remote patient
monitoring markets.
Hospital Monitoring Market
The Physiologic Monitoring Systems market is
well-established, primarily as hospital-grade
means to help evaluate a patient’s condition
and make appropriate decisions.
The monitors display physiological signals,
including ECG, respiration, noninvasive blood
pressure (NIBP) and body temperature.
In-Hospital Monitoring Issues
Well-known problems associated with patient
monitors include: the need to shave the areas
under the electrodes; prepare the skin; tape
the wires to the body to minimize detaching.
Remote Patient Monitoring Market
Healthcare providers are now refocused on
curbing 30 day readmissions and keeping
patients out of hospitals by migrating to home
monitoring following discharge.
Remote patient monitoring (RPM), homecare
telehealth, is an emerging multi-billion dollar
mobile health market of real-time ambulatory
healthcare. It allows patients to be monitored
at home.
Telemetric (wireless) hospital monitoring
systems allow the patient to be moved within
transmission range without being
disconnected from central station monitoring
by eliminating the cables linking the patient to
the monitor.
Key players include Philips, Spacelabs and
Welch Allyn. The market size is projected to
exceed $4Billion by 2018.
Such monitors are expensive and often
require maintenance. And, some hospitals do
not have the personnel to interpret the
monitored data.
RPM is increasingly used with the elderly and
the chronically ill. RPM allow such patients
and their physicians to closely monitor
changing medical conditions and intervene, if
need be. This emerging market and its key
players are discussed in
http://ftp.jrc.es/EURdoc/JRC71141.pdf.
RPM could save the health care industry $700
billion over 15 to 20 years and help hospitals
avoid costly readmissions. .

ATLASense RPM Solution
DESCRIPTION
ATLASense is in advance development stages of
a pioneering, disposable, low cost RPM patch,
the ABL8200i. Unmatched in comprehensive
monitoring performance with a tiny patch, it
comprises high level integration: A sensors;
signal processing; wireless communication;
battery and adhesive.
The ABL8200i is a derivative of market-proven
Atlas Engineering workhorse platform, AR7000.
