Participants
Submission deadline
All persons of legal age, excluding members
of the jury, may participate. Participation in
this competition implies full acceptance of
the present rules.
The deadline for the submission of the
photos is 15 September 2015 at the latest.

Rights to the photos
The photos entered into the competition
will be exhibited on SOTERMUN’s
website, www.sotermun.es,
once
the
deadline for the submission of the works
has been reached.
The Jury will select the winner on 30
September 2015 and the prize will be
awarded in a public ceremony held on 7
October 2015 by the Unión Sindical Obrera
(USO) to coincide with World Day for
Decent
Work,
promoted
by
the
International Trade Union Confederation.
SOTERMUN and USE reserves the (nonexclusive) right to freely expose and play
any of the participating photographs.
The rights will not, in any event, be
transferred to third parties, without the
express authorization of the author.
The participants accept responsibility for
ensuring that there are no third party rights
over their works. The organisers, for their
part, undertake to indicate the name of the
author each time his or her photograph is
reproduced.
Jury
Data protection
The jury will be composed of members of
SOTERMUN’s Executive Board as well as
persons with experience in the world of
image and communication.
In accordance with Organic Law 15/1999 on
Personal Data Protection, and by
completing the form, the interested party
gives his/her consent to process the
personal information provided, which will
be incorporated into the Participants’ file
owned by SOTERMUN, Plaza de Santa
Bárbara, no. 5-6ª, 28004 Madrid.
In addition, we inform you that you may
exercise the rights to access, rectification,
cancellation and opposition established in
the said Law by sending a registered letter
or
e-mail
([email protected])
together with a photocopy of your
ID/Passport, to the above mentioned
address.
Theme
The photos entered into the competition
shall be related to the world of work, under
the idea or concept of "Decent work for
Decent
Life".
The organisation reserves the right to only
accept works that correspond to the theme
established and that meet a minimum set
of technical requirements.
Sending the works
Each competitor may send a maximum of
three photographs. They should be sent by
email to [email protected] or
submitted directly on a pen drive at
SOTERMUN’s central office, located at no. 5
Plaza de Santa Bárbara, 6th floor, 28004
Madrid.
In addition to the photo(s), the competitor
shall provide the following information :
first name and surname, pseudonym of
his/her choice, address, town/city and
postcode, telephone number and email
address.
The photos shall be presented in JPG
format, with a size of 30 cm on the largest
side of the photo and a resolution of 300
dpi. The photos entered shall not have
been previously published in any online or
printed magazine, book or publication. Nor
shall they have been the object of any other
photographic prize.
Prize
The prize will be €500 for a single winning
photograph. The Jury may provide other
contestants with a diploma rewarding their
participation.
Publication of photos
Throughout the reception phase, the
photos presented may be used on
SOTERMUN’s
and
USO
various
dissemination platforms with the sole aim
of promoting the participatory phase of the
