donations of cash and non-perishable food items such as pasta and sauces, hot and cold cereals, peanut butter and jelly,
canned fruits and vegetables, and canned meats and tuna. Our hotline number is 733-2010 for all your questions or

CHRISM MASS
Thursday, March 26th, 6:00 p.m. at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. The CHRISM MASS is one of the most important
and most beautiful Liturgies in the Church. At this Mass the Bishop blesses the HOLY OILS that will be used in
sacramental celebrations throughout the Diocese for the coming year. Also at this Mass the priests of the diocese renew their
commitment to priestly service. The Chrism Mass is a reminder that we are a priestly people, called to proclaim the gospel
in accordance with the sacraments we have received. THE CHRISM MASS is a wonderful expression of the entire
Sacramento Diocese. You are cordially invited to join Bishop Soto, the priests of the diocese and your Catholic brothers and
sisters as we pray for God’s continued blessings on the Church of Sacramento.
Way of the Cross
The 14th Annual Way of the Cross will take place in downtown Sacramento on April 3rd, Good Friday, beginning at 9:00 in
Crocker Park (at the corner of N and 3rd) and ending at 11:15 on the steps of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament (11th
and K Streets). The Way of the Cross - a traditional Catholic procession recalling the suffering and death of Jesus Christ –
includes Gospel readings, choral music, readings from Giussani, Claudel and Péguy. This traditional walk takes place in the
heart of the city where so many bear their crosses daily, and very often dreadfully alone. All are invited to join in this
procession, organized by the lay Catholic movement Communion and Liberation. For more information, please contact Eric
Lee at (209) 600-8298.
