Die AUTOSAR Spezifikation zu Version 4.0 (r3) beinhaltet mit ihren 13.620 Seiten theoretisch alles, was
man zu AUTOSAR wissen muss. Aber leider sind die Dokumente als Spezifikation (bzw. als
Anforderungen) geschrieben und nicht als eine Art Handbuch oder einer praktischen Anleitung. Diese
Lücke wird mit den „AUTOSAR Compendium“ Büchern geschlossen.
Das „AUTOSAR Compendium - Part1“ befasst sich mit der Applikationsschicht und der RTE. Es erläutert
die verschiedenen Parameter, deren Verwendung und den Zusammenhang mit anderen Teilen der
Spezifikation. Ergänzt wird dies durch praktische Beispiele anhand der Konfigurationssoftware, ARXMLcode, generierter RTE-code und Implementierungen in C.
Das Buch ist damit ein unschätzbarer Begleiter für Architekten und Software-Entwickler von AUTOSAR
Projekten.

Then why would you need this book?
Because the official AUTOSAR documents are written as a specification and not as a guideline! What
makes matters worse is that the documents are structured and formulated as requirements. This is perfect
if you need to implement the AUTOSAR standard but not so much if you simply want to know how to use it.
