Er promovierte an der Medizinischen Universität in Athen im Jahre 1999 und erlangte 2004 seinen Ph.D. Thesis an der Medizinischen Universität von Kreta. 2008 folgte seine Spezialisierung in der Plastischen Chirurgie am, «St. Savvas» Krebsklinik von Athen. Im Anschluß daran errichtete er eine Gemeinschaft für Plastische Gesichtschirurgie unter der Schirmherrschaft der Holländischen Assoziation der Gesichts- und Rekonstruktiven Chirurgie in den Niederlanden und Belgien. Im folgenden Jahr 2009 arbeitete er als Gesichtschirurg im „Centre Chirurgical Des Princes“ in Paris zusammen mit Dr. Marchac. Während seiner Spezialisierung besuchte er verschiedene bekannte Zentren der Plastischen Chirurgie in New York, Toronto, Paris, Stockholm sowie Sao Paolo. Dr. Liapakis nahm ebenfalls an verschiedenen Kursen in Österreich, Großbrittanien, Deutschland, den Niederlanden, Belgien, Rumänien und Ägypten teil. Dr Ioannis Liapakis, MD, PhD is a Plastic Surgeon. He graduated from the "University of Athens Medical School" at 1999 and at 2004 obtained his Phd Thesis at the "University of Crete Medical School". At 2008 concluded his specialization in Plastic Surgery at “St Savvas” Anticancer Hospital of Athens and immediately after he obtained a "Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship" under the aspices of the "Dutch Association of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" in The Netherlands and Belgium. At 2009 he worked as a Plastic Surgeon at the "Centre Chirurgical Des Princes" in Paris, France with Dr Marchac. During his specialization, he visited several famous centers of Plastic Surgery in New York, Toronto, Paris, Stockholm, and Sao Paolo and he also attended several courses at Austria, Great Britain, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Romania and Egypt as well.
