Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus der Charité
consultation-liaison psychiatry is one of the most interesting fields in psychiatry, a hot spot at the interface of
psychological and somatic medicine. To be efficient and
successful, the CL-psychiatrist has to be knowledgeable
and skillful in operating as an outpost of psychiatry in
medical-surgical departments with quite different cultures of medicine than those in psychiatric wards or clinics.
He or she has to be prepared to manage difficult team
situations, mediating between staff and patients with
somato-psychiatric comorbidity, learn to connect quickly
to difficult medically ill patients under time constraints,
and above all know how to formulate organic differential diagnoses for »abnormal behavior« that has been
deemed by medical staff prematurely to be »psychiatric«.
Our course aims at developing these skills for beginners
in CL-psychiatry, as well as providing the possibility to
discuss and deepen the experience for seasoned ones.
Hence, we have put together a program touching upon
different areas relevant to our field, such as delirium,
depression in the medically ill, drug interactions, psychotherapeutic skills for difficult patients in the general hospital, and many others. Internationally renowned experts
from Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Norway,
England and the United States will be part of the course
faculty. In addition, you will have sufficient time to enjoy
the city of Berlin, at present one of the most exciting
places in Europe.
We are very much honored, that the European Psychiatric Association (EPA) has adopted this course under its
patronage. We have applied for EACCME accreditation.

zuletzt hat die Einführung des DGPPN-Zertifikats
»Psychiatrie, Psychotherapie und Psychosomatik im
Konsiliar- und Liaisondienst« die Nachfrage nach
Fortbildungsangeboten auf unserem Gebiet weiter
steigen lassen.

Dieses Jahr wird der »Berliner KL-Kurs: Konsiliar- und
Liaison-Psychiatrie und Psychosomatik« in einem
neuen Format an den Start gehen. Neben dem
bewährten deutschsprachigen Kurs wird es parallele
englischsprachige Tracks für Einsteiger und Fortgeschrittene geben. Die Workshops sind vor Ort frei
wählbar. Zudem laden wir Sie ein, eigene Beiträge
in Posterform einzubringen.
Durch die Zusammenstellung des Programms als
Mischung aus konzentrierten Schwerpunktreferaten,
interaktiven Modulen, Kleingruppenarbeit und offenen Diskussionen richtet sich dieser Kurs an erfahrene Kollegen, die ihr konsiliarisches Wissen erweitern
möchten und den fachlichen Austausch auch auf
internationaler Ebene suchen.
