April 2015 Liebe IFC-Mitglieder, Wahrscheinlich lag es an den schlechten Wettervoraussagen, dass zu unserem Eisstockschießen am 21. März nicht so viele Teilnehmer wie sonst üblich kamen. Aber dennoch konnten vier Mannschaften durch Auslosen gebildet werden, die dann in zwei Durchgängen in fröhlichem Wettstreit gegeneinander antraten und viel Spaß dabei hatten. Als siegreiche Mannschaft ging Jo Müller mit seinem Damen Team Dagmar Haspelmann und Sandy McDonald vom Platz. Auf den weiteren Plätzen folgten: Team 3 mit Hendrik Schiemann, Petr Langer und Kees Bakx Team 4 mit Anna Sladzevskis, Biggi Wolf und Mike McDonald Team 1 mit Herbert Burkart, Max Hedfeld und Anton Starovoytov Übrigens hat es entgegen der Vorhersagen doch nicht geregnet, zumindest nicht bis wir in die Clubhütte zur Siegerehrung gingen und dort noch gemütlich beisammen saßen. Ganz hervorragend versorgt wurden wir wieder - wie gewohnt - von den Damen des Eisstock Clubs: mit Kaffee und selbst gebackenem Kuchen während der Wettkämpfe und mit Würstl und Brez’n bei der „Nachbesprechung“. Unsere nächsten Vorhaben Wanderung Murnauer Moos am Sonntag, den 19. April Kees und Karina Bakx wollen am 19. April einen Spaziergang ins Murnauer Moos unternehmen und würden sich über Mit-Wanderer sehr freuen. Treffpunkt ist um 11.30 Uhr am Bahnhofs Parkplatz in Oberammergau, um in Fahrgemeinschaften mit den Autos nach Westried zu fahren. Man kann natürlich auch direkt nach Westried fahren, um dort um 12.00 Uhr am Bahnhofs Parkplatz mit der Gruppe aus Oberammergau zusammen zu treffen. Von Westried aus beginnt die Wanderung durch das Moos und sie führt dann natürlich zum Ähndl zur Rast. Die gute Küche dort ist ja bekannt. Frühlingsball der NATO Schule und der Gemeinde Oberammergau am Samstag, den 25. April Die NATO Schule und die Gemeinde veranstalten nach längerer Zeit wieder gemeinsam einen Frühlingsball. Alle unsere Mitglieder sind dazu herzlich eingeladen. Die Einladungen sind bereits verschickt worden. Wir freuen uns auf einen schönen Abend im Ammergauer Haus. Ausblick City Tour nach Passau am Samstag, den 30. Mai Am 30. Mai wollen wir die Drei-Flüsse-Stadt Passau besuchen. Ein großer Bus der Firma Richter ist bereits bestellt. Die einzigartige Lage der Stadt am Zusammenfluss der drei Flüsse Donau, Inn und Ilz sowie die Schönheit der barocken Altstadt werden uns bei einer Stadtführung näher gebracht. But still, four teams were formed by drawing lots, which then in a cheerful contest competed in two rounds against each other and had a lot of fun. Completely fantastically we were again taken care of – as usual – by the women of the curling club: with coffee and homemade cakes during the competition and with sausages and pretzels at the ‘debriefing.’ Our next events Hike in the Murnau moorland on Sunday, April 19 Kees and Karina Bakx would like to conduct a walk in the Murnau moorland on April 19 and would be happy for others to accompany them. The meeting point is at 11.30 at the railway car park in Oberammergau, in order to travel together by car to Westried. One can of course drive directly to Westried and meet the group from Oberammergau at 12.00 at the railway car park in Westried. The walk through the moorland will begin from Westried and leads then of course to Ähndl for a break. The good food there is well-known. NATO School and Oberammergau Spring Ball on Saturday, April 25 After a long time once again the NATO School and the community, together, are organizing a spring ball. All of our members are invited. The invitations have been sent. We look forward to a pleasant evening in Oberammergau house. A Look Ahead City Tour of Passau on Saturday, May 30 On May 30 we want to visit the three-river city of Passau. A large bus from the firm of Richter is already reserved. The unique location of the city at the junction of three rivers; the Danube, Inn and Ilz, as well as the beauty of the baroque old town, will be brought closer to us with a guided tour. The bus departure is planned for 07.00 at the Ammergauer Haus and for 07.15 at the car park in Oberau. At 11.00 the city guided tour will begin. The cost will be only 20 Euros for members and 30 for non-members and consists of the bus travel and the guided tour of the city. For planning purposes a concrete registration no later than Thursday, May 14 is required with Jo Müller (Tel.: 08822/923384) or with any board member. NATO School Reunion from August 23 to 28 Sjon Selles, the organizer of the big meeting, has sent the program for the week in August. We have already passed it on to all our members.
