AUTUMN SPRINT SERIES 2014 KNAVESMIRE WOOD SATURDAY 4th OCTOBER 2014 EBORienteers’ Autumn Sprint Series – is a series of eight orienteering races on varied terrain over three months. The series includes day events on Saturday mornings and night events on Wednesday evenings. With an emphasis on informality, enjoyment and (as far as possible in new terrain), the series will appeal to both experienced orienteers as well as newcomers. Event 3 – Knavesmire Wood, York, - Saturday 4th October 2014 Parking in small car park in Cherry Lane, off Tadcaster Road at SE590495 / YO24 1GG Terrain: a mixture of rough open open pasture and a complex recently remapped woodland with intricately mapped vegetation. vegetation Starts: from 11am to 12 noon. Courses close 1pm. Courses: Beginners ners 1.5km, Improvers 2km, Stars Stars 2.5km, Superstars 2.5km. SI punching.. (course lengths subject to final checks and controlling) Fees: Seniors £5.00; .00; Juniors £2.50. £ . You can try any number of courses for one fee. SI dibber hire £1.00 for seniors and £0.50 for juniors. Lost hired SI Cards will be charged at £30.00 recommended. Competitors take part at Facilities: No toilets or any facilities.
