Reference Material – Entry Requirements to Essential Energy Electrical Stations – Issue 2 UNCLASSIFIED CERM2066 | 11 April 2014 Entry Requirements to Essential Energy Electrical Stations Entry to Essential Energy electrical stations requires specific training and authorisation from Essential Energy in line with CEOP2065 Operational Procedure Network Operations Authorisation. Some electrical stations require site specific induction by Essential Energy personnel. To assist in identifying which sites require specific site induction Essential Energy’s zone substations have been categorised as either a Category A or Category B site. Electrically unqualified persons who require entry to Category A sites must be inducted to that site, by suitably authorised Essential Energy personnel, who are familiar with the particular site, before being authorised to enter that site. Zone substations not listed below will be deemed a Category B unless indicated by signage at the site. Ground mounted regulator sites and ground mounted outdoor distribution substations are to be treated as Category A sites regardless of being excluded on the list or the absence of signage.
