John Krug is a Managing Senior Principal with Stantec Consulting Ltd. in Ottawa where he has worked for the past 14 years. His previous work experience includes about 10 years with Gore & Storrie (now CH2M HILL) and another 5 years with Ainley Graham and Associates. He graduated from McGill University in the early 80s with a Master of Engineering. John was instrumental in starting the CEO’s Ottawa Chapter in 2000 where he is still on the executive as its secretary. He is also a member of the provincial CEO Board where he has served as the Chair of the Communications Committee. Phil Whelan, P.Eng., is Vice-President of Public Sector at McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd. Phil established the Municipal and Bridge Groups when he joined McIntosh Perry in 2000. Phil previously worked for the Town of Mississippi Mills from 1997 to 2000, City of Kanata from 1992 to 1997, and A.J. Robinson & Associates from 1990 to 1992. Phil is currently the Chair of the Ottawa Chapter of CEO and has previously served on the Ottawa Chapter as a Director. On behalf of the Ottawa Chapter, Phil participates on the City of Ottawa Infrastructure Services/CEO Liaison Committee and Contractor Survey Requirements and 3D Drawings for Projects, within City of Ottawa. Edson Donnelly, C.E.T., a Senior Project Manager with Novatech has extensive experience and expertise ranging from functional design to construction administration for a variety of municipal projects. He has managed or coordinated over 20 km of urban roadway reconstruction projects over the past 25 years including Murray Street, Somerset Street, Stittsville Main Street, Terry Fox Drive, Richmond Road, Hazeldean Road and Wilson Street (Perth). Of particular note, he has managed or co-managed segments of the reconstruction of Bank Street, which piloted several new approaches for reconstruction of traditional main streets, and is currently the Project Manager for the rehabilitation of Churchill Avenue (nearing completion).
