city. There are about 20 villages in the Taluka. The
Gavrala, a small hamlet near Bhadrawati. has been
excavated
by the Department of Ancient
Indian
History, Culture and Archeology, Temples in the area
are Jain Mandii The Buddha Vastu of Vijasan, Ganesh
Mandir of Gavrala. There is one ancient Jain temole
located in Bhadravati, Known as JAIN MANDIR. The
temple belongs to Shwetamber sect of Jain religion. A
new temple is constructed behind the old Jain temple
and is much bigger than the existing one. Their are
2000 year old Buddhist caves popularly known as
VUASAN TEKDI, it is located at Vijasan village. Also this
city is blessed with lord Shiva as it has an ancient
temple of "Bhadrashesh" Popularly known as "Nagoba
Mandir" or NAG MANDIR. People around many places
used
to come here on Mahashivratri
and
Nagpanchami.
Travel Information
Bhadrawati is situated on National and State
highway. The nearest railway stations are Bhandak
(Bhadrawati) (2 Km), Chandrapur (25 Km), Ballarshah
(40 Km) and Nagpur (125 Km). Maharashtra State
Transport (ST) buses operate daily every 15 minutes
from Nagpur to Chandrapur and back via Bhadrawati.
The nearest Airport is Dr. Babasahed Ambedkar

materials, Nanomaterials, Biomaterials, Polymeric
Materials, Functional Materials, Carbon Materials,
Conducting Materials, Composite Materials. lt will
also help for sharing knowledge and creating new
views in the field of material science. The conference
will bring together leading researchers, scientists
and academicians from around the world.

Bhadrawati Shikshan Sanstha, Bhadrawati, under
the leadership of Shri. Nilkanthrao Shinde, Sau.
Nilimatai Shinde and few eminent people from
different walks of life. Nilkanthrao Shinde Science &
Arts College, Bhadrawati gives a rich excellence
based education in a tribal area. lt is affiliated to
Gondwana University, Gadchoroli. The College is
permanentlv affiliated to uGc, New Delhi and
re-accredited by NAAC Banglore with 'B' grade. The
college has now grow with excellence and well
developed infra structural facilities offering Five
programs, as B.Sc.,8.A., M.5c., M.A. PGDCCA in

science. The ob.iective of this national seminar is to

technologists and others engaged in basic or applied

and functional materials, acoustic material, based on
metals, carbon, ceramics, polymers, fibers and
composites as well as those derived from living and
non-living natural resources. To encourage wide
ranging applications of such materials in all areas of
vital interest to human society such as agriculture,
food, health clothing, energyetc.
