We have received your request to enrol in Northern Academy for 2015.
a) Grade 1 – 9:

You will receive an SMS confirming provisional registration with the account holders
account code after which a non-refundable R700 administration fee is payable per
school, and R600 administration fee per hostel application.

b) Grade 10 & 11:

Northern Academy does not take new Grade 12 students.
Only students with academic merit and a good behavioural reference will be
considered for entrance in Grade 10 and 11.
NO MONEY IS TO BE PAID AT FIRST, as an entrance test is to be written to secure
admission.
(1) To apply: fill in the application form and send it back to us; attach a progress
report of the previous year, as well as the student’s most recent progress report
and a behavioural report:

(2) You will be informed if you are invited to write an entrance exam – cost: R200
An administration fee of R700 is payable if you were successful in your entrance
test.
If you want to stay in the hostel, an additional R600 administration fee is payable.
If Grade 10 and 11 students want to take Mathematics / Science, a proficiency test in
those subjects will be written too.
You will be informed if your application is successful:
(1) You will receive an SMS confirming provisional registration, the account holder
will be allocated an account code.

4) School fees are payable per year, but – to lessen the burden on our parents – are divided by
12 months and payable IN ADVANCE before or on the 7th of each month. Discount is only
given if advance payment of 12 months are made before 31 December 2014. PLEASE NOTE:
School fees are subject to change.
5) Please also take note that Northern Academy uses computer tablets and that each student is to
buy one. Costs involved will be made known in October, but we envisage that it will not be more
than R1000 per tablet.
6) We require the following documents:
1. Proof of payment (keep the original, please!)
2. Registration form(s) filled in and signed (school and hostel)
3. A certified copy of the student’s birth certificate / ID
4. The student’s FINAL Progress Report of the academic year (2014)
5. Photocopy of the ID of the person responsible for the account of the student.
