Dear Colleagues, Microarrays is an academic open access Journal for microarray technology and applications. It publishes research papers, reviews and communications. Open access is mainly a response to what is known as the serials crisis: yearly increasing journal subscription prices, which make subscription-based journals increasingly difficult to afford. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. Many university libraries around the world have had to cancel existing subscriptions, or are unable to keep up with subscribing to new journals, because the cost of publication has risen disproportionately to their budgets. Manuscripts prepared in Microsoft Word or LaTeX can be submitted to the Editorial Office online at www.mdpi.com. Detailed instructions for authors are also available online: www.mdpi.com/journal/microarrays/instructions/ Subject Areas: With open access publishing, the cost of peer-review and production of an article is borne by the institute of the author by payment of a one-time flat fee. Conversely, readers and their institutes are no longer charged for accessing the journals they need. You are invited to contribute a research article or a comprehensive review for consideration and publication in Microarrays (ISSN 2076-3905). Microarrays is an international scientific open access journal of microarray technology, published by MDPI online quarterly. ○ multiplex lab-on-a-chip ○ high-throughput screening Microarrays is published in open access format—research articles, reviews and other contents are released on the Internet immediately after acceptance. The scientific community and the general public have unlimited and free access to the content as soon as it is published. ○ DNA microarrays, cDNA microarrays, oligonucleotide microarrays and SNP microarrays ○ MMChips, for surveillance of microRNA populations ○ protein microarrays As an open access journal, Microarrays is supported by the authors or their institutes by payment of article processing charges (APC) for accepted papers. More information is available at: www.mdpi.com/about/apc/ ○ tissue microarrays ○ cellular microarrays or transfection microarrays ○ chemical compound microarrays We would be pleased to welcome you as one of our authors. ○ antibody microarrays ○ carbohydrate arrays (glycoarrays) ○ high throughput sequencing Prof. Dr. Ulrich Certa Editor-in-Chief Microarrays Editorial Office E-Mail: [email protected] Tel. +41 61 683 7734 www.mdpi.com/journal/microarrays/ Microarrays regularly publishes special issues on relevant and timely topics. Be sure to check our website for an updated list of special issues: www.mdpi.com/journal/microarrays/special_issues/ For researchers, open access brings the convenience of immediate access to the literature that they need — no matter for which university or company they work, or whether they just want to read a paper in their spare time at home. For authors, open access means a much wider circle of readers due to the easy access to their research papers. The interested general public is also able to access research works, giving higher transparency to the outcome of taxpayer money spent on research. Publication Ethics Statement Microarrays is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Microarrays takes the responsibility to enforce a rigorous peer-review together with strict ethical policies and standards to ensure to add high quality scientific works to the field of scholarly publication.
