10 sessions: January 6, 13, 20 & 27; February 3, 10, 17 & 24; March 3 & 10, 2015 – 1:30-4:30pm
This workshop is designed to (1) introduce the therapeutic use of plant medicine; (2) explore the
fundamental principles and philosophies comprising the basis for herbal medicine and discuss the
forms and techniques used to treat common ailments with herbal medicine; (3) provide an extensive
materia medica of local medicinal plants, as well as kitchen and culinary herbs from around the
world; (4) introduce local, North American and European grown plants, including their history,
description, therapeutic use, contra-indications (for general use) and support reading for their
additional health benefits; (5) review the application of herbal medicine and the use of single herbs
for the digestive, skin, nervous, lymphatic and circulatory systems; (6) discuss common local medicinal
and kitchen, culinary herbs for common health issues; and (7) explain how to prepare teas and some
topical applications for common use.

Hector Reyes - Hector’s passions revolve around herbs, acupuncture, and folk remedies inspired by his native
country of Mexico. He is a nutritional consultant and owner of Yerba Professionals, a consulting company
representing high quality health products for professional practitioners and health food stores. Hector brings 18
years of experience in the health food industry. He has worked as a retail supplement manager, regional
representative and trainer for herbal companies, and as an educational consultant. He practices a holistic
approach, and is currently registered as an RNCP and ROHP with the International Organization of Nutritional
Consultants.

ADMISSION: CSNN graduates automatically qualify for entry into Advanced Holistic Nutrition (AHN) workshops. All health care professionals are welcome to take
advanced holistic nutrition workshops that have Continuing Education Units (CEUs) attached to them. A waiver form will be required for those who do not have official
entry into the AHN Program.
WITHDRAW & REFUND POLICY: If the applicant terminates registration prior to the workshop commencement date, an administrative fee may apply. If registration is
terminated by the applicant after the workshop start date, no refunds will be granted. If CSNN cancels a workshop for any reason, all paid fees will be refunded to the
applicant.
RELEASE: “I hereby release The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition Inc. and all branches and affiliations from all claims of damages arising from any accident or injury
which is caused by or arises from participation of the applicant named herein, during any program or any facility or any location where a program is held."
