On March 9, 2011, Shaun Collins was found hanging in his cell at the Military Police Guardhouse at the Canadian Forces Base.
He was given emergency medical assistance and transported to hospital but died on March 11, 2011.

On December 19, 2010, Caleb and Gabriel Cardinal were found unresponsive in the home of their father.

On December 24, 2011, both Derek Upton and Nicholas Whynott were found unresponsive in their single cells at the
Drumheller Institution.

On February 13, 2011, Valerie Wolski was found unresponsive in the mental health group home where she worked as a care
provider to a single resident.

On October 29, 2012, Shawna Rogers was found unresponsive in her residence.

MATKOWSKI, Brent Miro, 47, Peace River
On March 12, 2012, Brent Matkowski was found hanging in his isolated cell at the Peace River Correctional Centre.
KIPLING, Laurent Barry, 35, High Level
On September 12, 2010, Laurent Kipling was arrested for public intoxication and lodged in RCMP cells. When he was checked
prior to being released he was stuporous. He was transported to Edmonton where he received medical and surgical care. His
condition deteriorated and he died on September 25, 2010.

On July 18, 2012, Russell Skoropad was shot during an armed confrontation with police.

On October 21, 2012, Tyrell Raine was found hanging from playground equipment near his residence.

On November 20, 2010, Betty Anne Gagnon died due to a blunt head injury. Betty Anne had developmental delays and lived
with family members at the time of her death.
