Anpara (Global Location : between 24°41'23” N and
23°03'53”E) is about 214 km far from Varanasi is an industrial
area of district Sonebhadra (U.P.) and is also known as Power Hub
of India because of its Thermal Power Plants. On one hand it is
seriously threatened with various types of pollutions viz. air,
water, noise, thermal and radioactive while on other hand it is
enriched with a dense hide of deciduous forests. Geographically,
the area is surrounded by Kaimoor and Vindhyan range and the
nearby Coal Mines indicate its palaeontological importance as in
excavation of coal beds occasional finding of fossils has been
reported. Besides it Salakhan, a place about 80 km from Anpara
has been internationally accepted and approved to consist
world's most ancient Algal Fossils.
In months of January and February the blossoming of
forests attains its peak and an eye catching landscape spreads
over the view. In these months weather becomes very nice with

OBJECTIVES
Development of science and technology in industrial and
agricultural sectors and rise in world human populations have
paved the way for rapid environmental degradation. Industry has
played a key role in shaping modern civilization. Even now rapid
industrialization is viewed as panacea for solving most of the
man's needs as well as eradicating poverty. There has been
phenomenon expansion in industry all over the world. India is Xth
most industrialized nation of the world. However, industries of
various kinds are also responsible for large scale destruction of
the environment. Being heavily dependent on natural resources
and power they are responsible for massive deforestation &
mining activities as well as using a huge quantity of water, oil and
other natural resources. Industry is the major cause of large scale
pollution of environment.
The inter-relationship triangle amongst industries,
environment and common man welfare need to be strengthened
for sustenance and restoration of environmental quality and
smooth running of industries.
Thus, in view of scientific advancement and
