HAPPY 2015
EVERYTHING NEW
A Note from Peni
Happy New Year…
December came to a close with a
beautiful Christmas Party. Thank you
Nancy and Dan Marble, Sandy Crider,
Prudy Covey, Debi Bozanich, Barbara
Mathis, and Paul Yanez for all your hard
work decorating and making sure our
Club House was so festive. Thank you to
Covenant for the delicious dinner and to
Mike Montano for the great music.
Now 2015 has started with a bang. The
cold weather has not stopped our
members. The leagues have begun and
the courts are a buzz. We are looking
forward to all the activities that are being
planned for the new year. Our new front
gate is near completion and will soon give
BRC the entrance it deserves. Thank you
all who helped make this possible.
With the Pro Tournament in March and all
the other
exciting events
that are taking
place, We can be
sure, that 2015
is going to be a
GREAT year.

Court status
Chilly Weather! Despite some frosty mornings, attendance on the courts has been steady. Since
I’ve been here, I have not seen a Saturday like January 3rd. All of our courts, including the pro
court were full and a waiting list was in effect until noon- it stayed busy the entire day. A great
start to 2015.
Marci has been very busy and the league are shaping up nicely. We currently offer 3 full leagues
and along with Men’s Monday “King of the Courts”, the courts are buzzing with activity. Please
take note that league participation is high and we will have limited court availability on
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings as well as Tuesday mornings.
USTA League and BRC.
We are gearing up for the new season and BRC is totally committed to seeing USTA league play
flourish and expand! We will be revamping our USTA League Policy rules and will have several
changes in store. Changes, which will reflect guest policies and court availability will be
addressed and presented to the tennis committee and will be in place for this coming season.
Sunday afternoons will be designated for USTA match play. We welcome Beth Kuney new USTA
Coordinator and look forward to working with her.
New Coach
BRC would like to welcome Jamie Macias to our
tennis staff Jamie comes to BRC with over 15 years
coaching experience at all ages and levels of tennis. She
was the #1 player and MVP throughout her high school

California in the 16’s and 18’s level division. After High
School, Jamie pursued a career on the WTA Tour where
she earned a world ranking. Jamie will work to develop a
