The NATC Working Group on Data Analysis will meet prior to the 2015 ISOE ALARA
Symposium in the same hotel. Radiation Protection professionals from Canada, Europe, US
and Asia are planning to attend and participate. The purpose of the working group meeting
is to discuss 2014 BWR, PWR and CANDU dose trends. Also, the source term data from
H3D and Canberra CZT measurements taken at ISOE member site will be presented and
discussed. There is no cost for attending the NATC Data Analysis Working Group meeting.
Three continuing education units have been applied for from the American Board of Health
Physics. Registrants will also receive a certificate showing the completion of the continuing
education course. Contact David W. Miller, PhD, [email protected], if you have any
questions.
Objectives - To provide utility and regulatory health physicists with the latest technology in
occupational dose reduction available through the global ISOE program:
•
To learn how new technologies have been applied to nuclear power plant ALARA
programs to achieve significant outage dose reduction and substantial cost savings.
•
To train new health physicists in the operation of the H3D and Canberra CZT system to
measure CRUD source term and verify temporary shielding effectiveness
•
To share new applications of the H3D CZT system technology at nuclear power plants
•
To demonstrate how the global ISOE MADRAS report generator can be used to compile
a significant portion of the “Annual RP Program Review Report”
•
To provide an introduction to RWP data mining to optimize outage dose planning and
refueling outage duration using historic RWP and work order modeling.
Attendees should plan to bring their laptops. Preference is given to ISOE member utilities and
regulatory agencies attendees. Others may request to attend if meeting room space is available.
Non-ISOE members are requested to send an email to Amy Moeller requesting attendance to the
NATC Working Group Meeting.
