Tis the season to be jolly!
The festive season is upon us and each of our service hubs are welcoming it with open
arms, taking the opportunity to host fun events and fundraise, and each have their own
special Christmas celebrations planned...
Options for Life Christmas Carol Service
Our Christmas carol service will take place Wednesday 17
December at 1.15 for a 1:30 start at Kings Community Church in
Brandhall.
This year our choir, made up of participants from Oak Green, The
Ashes and Ocker Hill will be putting on another fantastic
performance of songs, including some modern ones,
accompanied by a live band! It’s not to be missed and all are welcome!

There will be homemade jams, chutney, cakes, wooden items and other craft gifts.

The team really enjoyed their first Christmas fundraising event
at Kings Community Church on Thursday 20 November.

It was great to see all our participants engaging with the
women’s group that attend the Church on Thursdays.
Making Tracks
Oak Green
Oak Green are holding their Christmas Fayre on Wednesday 3 December from 3pm
until 6pm at Oak Green Lodge.
Entrance is £1 per person and will include a mince pie.
You will be able to purchase Christmas decorations and
food items, have a go on the tombola, throw a snowball at
the snowman and even have your presents wrapped by our
present wrapping service! The Tree of Light will be
switched on at 5pm.
Do come and support us if you can!
The Ashes
The Ashes have a very busy few weeks coming up….
Following their Christmas Craft Fayre with Ocker Hill at the
Council House, at the beginning of December, they will be off to
the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton to see Cinderella.
A Christmas meal at the Crosswells Inn in Langley is followed the
day after, by a trip to the cinema to see a Christmas film and last,
but not least, a Christmas disco and buffet with Oak Green!
Roshni
The participants at Roshni are busy preparing for their Christmas activities.
They have already been out for their Christmas meal so are
starting the celebrations early!
In preparation for the Roshni Christmas party on Tue 23
December, the participants are creating beautiful hand made
decorations to decorate their hub.
On a less Christmassy note a huge well done to all the Roshni
participants that recently completed their Employability
Skills Entry Level 3 course. Well done from everyone at Options
for Life to Mandeep Chahal, Shakila Begum, Ravindeer Madhur,
Nazia Rafique, Uruvashi Patel, Ayesha Mehmood, Asya Arif,
Farhat Jan, Afia Khatoon and Sundeljit Kaur.
We would like to invite all hubs, parents and carers to visit Acorn Lodge on Tuesday 9
December from 11.00 - 1.00 to see our Christmas displays. Everyone has worked
really hard to make the displays so it would be really good if people could make it.
You can also take the opportunity to have a look at our wonderful new conservatory. We
will be holding a coffee morning at the same time so there will be drinks and mince pies.
