Caregiver Connection/Luncheon: Come and discuss the stress of the role of caregiving and methods to deal with
stress and care for yourself. Offered the 3rd Wednesday of each month

Coping with Cognitive Changes – Luncheon: Lecture-style class with an overview of how treatments impacts
cognitive functions with Dr. Myron Goldberg
Crafts and Conversation: Knitting/Crafting: Join us at the scheduled times to enjoy an activity while sharing a fun
time with others
Daily Orientation to the SCCA: Please join us in this Drop-in tour and overview of the SCCA services and support.
There will be a question and answer period following the tour.
Food Safety Class: Food safety in grocery stores, home, and restaurants will be discussed.
Healing Words-Luncheon: Join us for a discussion of what can help you heal and to help take care of yourself
It’s Okay to Ask –Sexuality and Intimacy Drop-in Discussion: Helpful hints will be provided for coping with side
effects that impact sexuality.
Labyrinth Walk: Walking an ancient spiritual path helps promote relaxation, meditation, spiritual
and personal healing and enrichment.
Long Term Follow up Orientation: Provides life-long support to people who have had a hematopoietic cell
transplant.
Long Term Support for Patients and Caregivers after Transplantation (Caregivers Welcome) Provides peer
support to LTFU participants. There is special emphasis on patients who have experienced chronic post-transplant
medical and resource issues.
Look Good Feel Better: A class sponsored by the American Cancer Society for women to come learn makeup and
skin care practices while going through cancer treatment. A complimentary makeup kit is provided to each person.
Managing Care at Home, Transition Class: (Transplant Patients Only) Includes an overview of the Bone Marrow
Transplant Process, patient/caregiver roles, managing symptoms and recovery at home and phases of transplant.
Refresh and Relaxation Exercises: Drop in for a cup of tea, listen to music, get a hand massage, and relax.
SCCA Living Tobacco-Free Services: Come learn about strategies and tips for quitting tobacco. All are welcome.

Therapeutic Yoga: This class focuses on developing an awareness of the body, the breath, and the mind through the
use of guided movement, breathing, sounds and meditation. For patients, caregivers and survivors.
Weekly Bible Study and Intercessory Prayer, (Christian Tradition): Open to patients, families and staff and held at
the SCCA House
Yoga for Patients and Caregivers-Residents of Pete Gross House: This class is open to all levels and provides the
patient and caregiver a time for rest and care for themselves
