C OURSE D ESCRIPTION : The course targets tertiary degree holders who are in disciplines outside of computing but possess the capacity to innovate and create transformative value in their own organizations though the use of ICT tools and technologies OR
who have gained significant experience in computing / ICT but do not possess formal
qualifications in this area.
The Postgraduate Diploma in ICT employs an outcomes-based practitioner’s approach
which focuses on providing the foundation, technical knowledge and transferable skills
in order to produce leaders who, will have the requisite ICT skills and competencies
directly relevant to any work or entrepreneurial setting; who appreciate the dynamism
and cross-sectoral applicability of ICT, and its importance as an engine for economic
development and growth; who demonstrates an awareness of the importance of ethics
and professionalism in the execution of their jobs; and, who are flexible, well-rounded
individuals committed to lifelong learning.

The Postgraduate Diploma in ICT aims to produce leaders who will:

technologies and individuals interested in building a career as IT professional and committed to lifelong learning.
The PGDICT is designed to enrich and broaden participants current skill sets, providing
participants with new ways to add value and innovation to transform organizations
through the application of ICT. In this light, persons who can take this course may work

A DMISSION R EQUIREMENTS :
Minimum educational qualification for admission is a Bachelor Degree with Honors (4
years)/Pass course or equivalent in any discipline. At least second div./class or equivalent grade up to Bachelor degree level. Officials from Govt. and private sector will get preference. Individuals must have a 4 years honors degree to get admission.
P REREQUISITES : No prerequisite is needed for this course but we recommend science
up to HSC level and basic computing knowledge.

over a period of 12 months. Modules will be offered per a four-five week period in a
face-to-face mode. Face-to-face classes will be held on three/four per week evenings.
