So what does it mean to be “made in God’s image”? Pastor Dick Straub has this quote of a friend who returned to faith after a long walk on the wild side: “It was a number of years of crashing and burning before I made the discovery that I was not God. Finally, I realized that though I was not God, I was OF God.” Realizing that we are made in God’s image shows us two truths: how infinite the possibilities are with God’s power and how tragic our unrealized potential is because we simply don’t trust. God gives us that open invitation: “Trust me and find the greatest gift ever given.” First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 2306 Vineville Ave., Macon, GA 31204 fccmacon.org ANNOUNCEMENTS Sunday we will begin worshipping in the fellowship hall.
