What is it? A series of local church, pastor-led ministries and
events that will enlist and involve men and women in local
congregations in a concerted effort to pray for lost souls and
develop caring relationships with them, in an effort to lead
them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The plan is for a
two-year (calendar year) emphasis (2015-2016). It will be
implemented on a yearly basis.

What are its goals? …to create a new awareness of the lost people around our
churches and communities, and to train and develop praying, caring, and
sharing disciples. …to encourage Church of God members and adherents in the
United States of America to be personally and regularly engaged in those
activities that lead lost souls to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. …to
encourage Church of God members and adherents in the United States of
America to personally bear a valid gospel witness to lost people in their sphere
of influence by actively sharing their faith.

How will it be resourced? Church of God USA Missions will be the resource
agency for the plan. We will provide downloadable promotional resources, and
we will provide training and support through already-existing materials and by
partnership with ministry entities within USA Missions, the Church of God

Pathway Press, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Billion Souls Network,
Mission America Coalition, and others).

SPRING HOPE CHURCH OF GOD ORGANIZED IN ENC
For fifteen years, the Church of God had been absent from Spring Hope. This situation
changed when a group of laity from the Spring Hope community began praying and
seeking God for an opportunity to bring the Spring Hope church back to life. Retired
Pastor, David Brooks, also began to feel the burden for a re-launch. After much work,
prayer, and excitement, the day arrived for organizing. Eastern North Carolina Church of
God Administrative Bishop, Dr. O. Wayne Brewer met with the church on Sunday,
November 23, 2014.

Ecuador Church Planting Initiative Supported by Eastern North Carolina Pastors
Eastern North Carolina Administrative Bishop O.
Wayne Brewer, along with nine ministers from the
region, traveled to Guayaquil, Ecuador in November
to assist in the planting of a new church. The Church
of God leadership in Guayaquil has set an ambitious
goal of planting forty new churches in their city by
2020 and welcomed the assistance from the North
Carolina ministers.
The ministers who made the trek to the Central
American country along with Administrative Bishop
Brewer included Richard Beasley, Dallas Berry, Danny Byrd, Richard Dial, Joe Ferguson,
Richard Franklin, Ricky Freeman, Jeff Person and Brian Wible.

The Eastern North Carolina church plant team arrived in Guayaquil on Saturday, ministered in a
local church on Sunday morning and spent the evening in prayer and preparation. On Monday
morning, after a time of prayer, they boarded a bus along with their translators and local hosts,
and made their way across the city.
When they arrived at the church plant area, they divided into ministry teams and again prayed
for the Holy Spirit’s supernatural empowerment. Then they were off on a great adventure with
God.
They spent each day talking with people, praying with people, and sharing the Gospel. Primarily, they engaged people by stopping folks on the street and knocking on doors. God opened the
hearts of the people to receive Jesus. It was God that did the work.
They invited everyone they met to join them at the end of the day at 4 p.m. for discipleship
training. Many professed Jesus as their Lord and Savior, but the fruit of the day’s ministry was
demonstrated by the people coming to learn about following Jesus. The team gave each new
adult believer who came to discipleship training a new Bible. By day two they had given out all
of the 120 Bibles they brought with them. The team purchased an additional 150 more Bibles and gave all of those
away.
Please pray for Pastor Milton Ganchozo, who is the church
plant pastor for this wonderful group of new believers in the
Delicia sector of Guayaquil, Ecuador.
