steel works and bonding glasses at their factory at Shuaiba industrial area.
This 32nd IIF Safety Awards were won by
Bibin Babychan who is working as a welder
in non-standard section, Gopal Akot who is
working as a fabricator in standard section,
Jaya Chandran who is working as a fabricator in UCW section, Naresh who is working
as a helper in safety dept, Taranga who is
working as a helper in dispatch section,
Manikandan who is working as a helper in
the yard. Asanka Suresh as electrician in factory maintenance dept, Sadiq P.P. who is
working as a security guard, Savad who is
working as a heavy vehicle driver in trans-
port dept, Kuriakose Thomas who is working as a fitter in site maintenance dept, K.M.
Dhanushka who is working as an office
assistant and Rashid Sardar who is working
as a fax operator. This 32nd IIF Safety
Award certificates and gifts has been distributed by Eng Sameh Maksoudu Eng Zivka

As the usual celebrations of the Arabic
new year, Christmas festival and the seasonal new year celebrated with cake-cutting ceremony by the chief guest Eng Sameh
Maksoud, Eng Zivka Naumova-Sorceva and
Eng Kuruvilla Mathews on cheering of more
than 300 personnel at the ceremony. New
year wishes speech was presented by Titus
Varghese site maintenance manager, wishing
everybody happy Eid, Merry Xmas and very
happy, prosperous and incident and injuryfree New Year. Ceremony was started by
Chandra Shekar, factory HSE officer and
welcome note was presented by Syam
Shekar, factory HSE officer and awardees
name list was announced by Ruwan
Chamara Dombagammana, factory HSE
officer-night shift on behalf of the organizers
and HSE department. Vote of thanks was
presented by Eng Emeleo Wilchez asst production manager on behalf of the Alico

(KUNA): A senior
Kuwaiti official on
Tuesday lauded ties
with Bahrain saying
bilateral cooperation
has been noticeably
progressing on all
levels.

Al-Mezyen made the statement at the preparatory
meeting for the 8th
Kuwaiti-Bahraini
Joint
Higher Committee in
Manama today.
He expressed hope the
meeting would help realize
expectations in harder work
to explore more opportunities for bolstering bilateral
ties and strategic partnership.
Al-Mezyen also congratulated the Kingdom on the
43rd National Day and the
15th anniversary of King
Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s
ascending to the throne,
paying tribute to the
Kingdom’s achievements in
all fields.
Today’s meeting was also
attended by representatives
of official and non-governmental bodies.
The meeting aims at
enhancing bilateral ties to the
elevated level aspired by their
leaders, Undersecretary of
Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry
for Regional Affairs and Gulf
Cooperation Council (GCC)
Hamad Al-Amri said.
It also goes in line with
the principles and targets of
the GCC that stress bilateral
cooperation and coordination among the member
states in all fields, he added.
Al-Amri emphasized that
the meeting comes amid
political and economic challenges sweeping the region.
The meeting tackles bilateral political, diplomatic,
economic, media, health and
power cooperation, among
others.
A report is to be submitted
to Wednesday’s Higher
Committee meeting to be cochaired by Kuwait’s First
Deputy Prime Minister and
Foreign Minister Sheikh
Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad AlSabah and Bahrain’s Minister
of Foreign Affairs Khalid bin
Ahmed Al Khalifa.

‘Approve certified students of Kuwait Autism Society’
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 23: Former minister of Education and Higher
Education Dr Musaed Al-Haroun has
requested Ministry of Education to
approve the certified students of
Kuwait Autism Society, stressing that
the issue has been left pending for a
long time, reports Al-Nahar daily.
He said this in a press statement that
he issued after the Creativity and
Excellence Award Ceremony for
Children with Autism, which was organized by Kuwait Autism Society to grant
the Meshan Al-Khethair Al-Meshan
Award to talented autistic students.
Dr Al-Haroun explained that granting such an award is an opportunity to
honor excellent male and female autis-
tic students, affirming that it will
encourage the students to focus more
on studies, researches and inventions.
He appreciated former secretary general of Private Education Sector Dalal
Al-Meshan for her supporting role in
the granting of such an award, revealing that she had also served in the
Ministry of Education.
