Our mission is to prepare students to become professional
musicians and music educators in a holistic manner through
creative teaching-learning strategies and research. We strive to
create a nurturing and supportive environment while challenging
students to develop their talents to the fullest.
With a student population of over 555, the relatively small size of
the faculty provides a conducive and productive atmosphere for
ensuring individual attention for students in their music studies.
We place an importance in maintaining a balanced emphasis on
both performance and scholarship while presenting students with
the training necessary to excel within their chosen field.
The UiTM Faculty of Music is proud to announce this year as the
30th anniversary of the introduction of music at Universiti
Teknologi MARA. Nearly 30 events and activities have been
planned for 2014 to celebrate this historic year such as the
International Gamelan Festival, HIFA 2014, the 5th Malaysian
Composers Concert Series 2014, and the highlight of this years of
this year’s UiTM Music Series - the 30th Anniversary Concert on
