In 2004 Maria Schick and Michael Crane met at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY.
After several years of friendship they began dating in 2008. Soon after that they
moved in together and found out Michael's job was relocating him to Atlanta, GA. In
the fall of 2012 Michael proposed at their Goodbye Party, needless to say Maria said
"Yes!" Then they were off to begin a new life together down South. After almost 2
years of being engaged and about 1 year of ACI employment, Maria and Michael finally tied the knot on Saturday, September 27th, 2014. Congratulations to Mr. and
Mrs. Michael Crane!

CHRISTMAS IS COMING
Now is a good time to mention that CBO’s and/or Regions might like to “ADOPT” a family for Christmas.
Now is the time to start collecting donations from your teams and finding an organization to supply you a family.
Some good options to reach out to are:
Salvation Army
Catholic Charities
Churches
Some communities Police Department/City government
Some Hospital have “giving trees” and have already done the research of needy families in their area.
Christmas is almost here! Time is a wastin!

Pets of the Month!
MeatWad is about 6. My brother got him when he was a puppy but
I fell in love with him. I loved him so much that I would go get
him every weekend and sometimes keep him months at a time. My
brother has since gotten 3 other very large dogs (which MeatWad
was the boss man, lol). My brother and sister in law welcomed
their 1st child into this world earlier this year. So with a new baby
and 4 dogs, it became a lot to handle. My brother said “well since
you love MeatWad so much & he likes you better anyways, do you
just want to keep him?” and of course I said YES! MeatWad has
got the biggest personality, he loves to snuggle & is super sweet.
He is a good listener and he will obey what I tell him to do. I
taught him when he was a couple years old to sit, stay, stand up and
jump. He is very loyal to me. He will just sit and gaze at me,
haha! I absolutely love him to death. He is just the most awesome
dog ever!!

Frankie is a Teddy bear…yes that’s a breed of dog (we don’t
however use that three letter word around him ). Teddy bears
are usually a mix between a Shih Tzu and a Bichon Frise. They
are a relatively new breed and initially served as therapy dogs for
handicapped children.
He is very mellow, sweet natured, never barks or licks but loves
attention. He will be 5 years old on November 23rd and I have
had him since he was 8 weeks old. I often say I have two children…My 18 year old daughter Madelyn and my four legged
little boy Frankie. He’s a little spoiled!

Always-Tender Roasted Turkey
Directions:
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter , softened
6 garlic cloves, minced
1 turkey (22-24 pounds)
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. all– purpose flour
1 turkey-size oven roasting bag
4 celery ribs, coarsely chopped
2 medium onions, sliced
1. In a small bowl, combine butter and garlic. Pat turkey dry. Carefully
loosen skin of turkey; rub butter mixture under the skin. Sprinkle salt
and pepper over the skin of the turkey and inside cavity. Skewer turkey
openings; tie drumsticks together.
2. Place flour in oven bag and shake to coat. Place oven bag in a roasting
pan; add celery and onions. Place turkey, breast side up, over vegetables. Cut six 1/2-in. slits in top of bag; close bag with tie provided.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 3 to 3-1/2 hours or until a meat thermometer
reads 180 degrees. Let stand for 15 minutes before carving.
4. If preparing turkey the day before, pour drippings into a measuring
cup; skim fat. Arrange slices in an ungreased shallow roasting pan;
pour drippings over turkey. Cool completely. Cover and refrigerate
overnight.
5. The next day, bake at 350 degrees for 45-65 minutes or until heated all
