OEHA Annual Educational Conference
April 15-16, 2014
On behalf OEHA President Joe Harrod, RS, the Board of Directors and the Planning Committee, it is my
pleasure to invite you to the 68th Annual Educational Conference which will be held April 15-16, 2014 at
the Worthington Doubletree Hotel. The Planning Committee has been hard at work putting together
another great agenda for this year.
We have requested 12.0 continuing education credits from the R.S. Board and we will also provide
continuing education hours for pesticide applicators and wastewater operators. Returning this year will be
a large gathering of vendors with of all the latest equipment and services which support public health.
This year the agenda is filled with Leadership hours and a full day of Emergency Preparedness seminars.
Feel free to share this agenda with Preparedness staff in your department who might be interested in
attending.
We will again be offering a two-day review session with training materials for SITs preparing to take the
examination to become a Registered Sanitarian.
The Silent Auction will be back to raise funds for the George Eagle Memorial Scholarship Fund and the preconference golf scramble will once again be held on the afternoon of April 14th at the beautiful York Golf
Club located at 7459 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 45235. There are always plenty of things to do in
Columbus for those who do not wish to golf. Thanks to a generous donation from Kroger, we will once
again offer free cook-out Monday evening for all who are able to come in the evening before the
conference.
The conference registration rates are the same as last year - at $130 for a member for both days. We have
reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate of $104 but make your reservations early to take advantage
of this conference rate! All conference registrants will receive a conference gift with our OEHA logo printed
on it. Mark your calendars now, get your registration in early! Please take a moment to share the
conference material with all of your professional associates and prospective new members.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 937-286-1244 or via email at
[email protected]. See you at the conference!
