in Greenville, North Carolina. “My education
and experience has allowed me to evaluate
a patient’s dental health from any age.”
Dr. Fleitz employs the latest technologies, including digital X-rays, a diode laser
to manage unhealthy or excess tissue and a
DIAGNOdent laser for confirmation of cavities
on the top surfaces of teeth. He takes several
continuing-education courses throughout the
year to stay abreast of the best techniques
and materials available.
As for his overall approach, Dr. Fleitz
says his practice’s mission is to “strive to
treat our patients in a comfortable atmosphere, using the latest technologies. We
treat each patient and their needs as if they
were family.
“My main focus is to not only deliver the
best care, but more importantly to listen to
what the patient wants,” he continues. “Too
many offices tell you what they think you need,
but don’t explain all your treatment options.
My goal is to educate each patient about his
or her dental needs so we can collectively
determine the best treatment for short- and
long-term success.”
Dr. Fleitz is an avid runner who has completed over 15 full marathons. He also enjoys
golfing and traveling throughout the US and
abroad. In 2009, Dr. Fleitz lost a very special
staff member to cancer. In 2010, in her honor,
he started the Janet Alexander Memorial Golf
Tournament and Garden Party which benefits
her favorite charity, Helping Hands in the Garden. This volunteer organization is dedicated
to helping people with cancer by caring for
their gardens while they undergo cancer treatment and recovery.
