The Divisional Railway Manager (Commercial) Ahmedabad invites applications from interested literate and
competent persons for appointment as local agent at following stations:

The local agent will have to issue and collect the tickets to the passengers on commission basis. The
commission payable to the halt contractor on the fare amount will depend on sales turnover. The slab of

Commission is calculated on cumulative basis. The applicant must fulfill below mentioned eligibility
criteria for which documentary evidence has to be submitted along with application.

An application, with recent passport size photograph duly affixed on the application alongwith above
mentioned documentary evidences to satisfy eligibility should be received in the office of Divisional
Railway Manager(Commercial), Near Chamunda Mata Mandir, Opp. Gujrat Cancer Hospital &
Research Center, Naroda Road, Ahmedabad- 382345. within 30 days from the date of publication of
notification in the newspaper. The agent will have to execute the agreement and tender security deposit as
per rule. Period of contract will be for 5 (five) years which may be extended for another five years in two
spells i.e. for two and half years each, subject to satisfactory working and Railway dues paid in time. The
appointment is purely contractual in nature and no claim of absorption in Railway service, regularization of
service, bonus, railway pass facilities etc. shall accrue to the halt contractor.
The application format/document is also available at web site: www.indianrailways.gov.in and the same can
be downloaded and can be used as application form duly filled for submitting to this office. Application must
reach to the office within the specified time i.e. on or before 10.11.2014 at 16.00 hrs. The applications
received after specified limit will be summarily rejected.
