Reduce production
costs for all poultry
A shift to
new solutions
b [email protected]
Protein sources have become the
most expensive feed raw materials
today. This challenge is introducing
alternative protein sources into the
market in an effort to control costs.
To overcome the reduced digestibility of protein associated with these
alternative sources, the use of
enzymes, especially protease solutions, are required.
Three new products in the already
well recognised Kemzyme product
line are specifically targeting
improved protein digestibility from a
wide range of feed protein sources.
l Kemzyme MAP, available in Asia,
is a unique, patented multi protease
and amylase product with a nonstarch polysaccharides (NSP) foundation. It has proven to release
higher amounts of amino acids.
l NutriKEM XLP, developed for
India, combines NSP enzymes fortified with protease and lysophospholipids to ensure overall performance
in low cost diets.
l In China, Kemzyme Protease is
comprised of target released proteases, which improve protein
digestibility and can be applied with
any other NSP enzyme product.
Kemzyme enzymes provide solutions that improve performance and
help manage the cost of complex
poultry diets.
Optimise feed
utilisation
Currently the world is facing a
growing demand for animal feed and
subsequently an increase of raw
material prices. As a result,
optimisation of feed utilisation in
order to improve production
efficiency is of high importance. Use
of alternative protein sources next
to animal protein sources, have
been investigated.

However, plant protein sources
challenge the micro flora of the gastrointestinal tract because of their
high fibre content and less easily
digestible proteins.
Anti nutritional factors (ANF) and
non-starch polysaccharides (NSP)
must be considered when feeding
animals with plant materials as a
protein source.
A way to overcome this problem
20
and to optimise feed utilisation is the
use of exogenous enzymes.
Therefore, Framelco developed
multi enzyme blend Fra Multizyme
MSC Dry/Liquid.
In this enzyme blend eight enzyme
activities are included: xylanase,
beta-glucanase, cellulase, amylase,
pectinase, alpha-galactosidase, mannanase and protease.
This unique combination of different enzymes results in a breakdown
of NSP fraction, reduction of ANF
effects and stimulates the digestibility
in young animals.
Trials done in different European
countries showed that FCR of
broilers significantly improves after
addition of 50g Fra Multizyme MSC
Dry per ton of feed, showing that
adding Fra Multizyme MSC Dry
results in higher and more efficient
availability of nutrients for animal
growth.
AveMix XG 10 is an exceptional
multi-enzyme concept designed by
Aveve Biochem for use in
monogastric feeds. This new
generation dual enzyme concept
contains high levels of xylanase and
b-glucanase. Both activities work
synergistically to break down most
prevalent soluble and insoluble NSP
fibres in raw materials.

By targeting raw materials such as
corn, cereals and by-products
AveMix XG 10 will increase feed
digestibility. By doing so AveMix XG
10 will yield optimal animal
performances, improve animal
uniformity and effectively reduce
feed costs. In practice, this means
that the nutritionist has more
flexibility and can incorporate higher
percentages of more economic raw
materials and by-products in
combination with AveMix XG 10 to
obtain cheaper formulations and
equal or better animal
performances.
With the European registration for
AveMix XG 10 for turkeys
underway, AveMix XG 10 is already
available for all other poultry species
under EU reg. nr. 4a9.
Aveve Group, the largest feed
producer in Belgium, obtains the
best performance results in the market by using AveMix products.
Significant savings
in feed costs
For over 20 years Optivite has been
providing enzyme solutions for
poultry producers. They have two
enzyme ranges which, when
incorporated into your feed, can
help to improve the profitability of
your enterprise and get the most
out of your feed by improving
nutrient availability.

Their Optizyme range is available
for maize and wheat/barley diets
and also comes in an intrinsically
heat stable version up to 95°C.
Optizyme works on the nonstarch polysaccharides (NSP) within
the feed releasing more of the nutri-
ents and thus enabling more economical raw materials to be used at
higher inclusion rates.
Their Optimise range takes into
account the synergy between NSP
enzymes and phytase. The presence
of the phytase enzyme breaks down
the anti-nutrient phytate.
This releases more of the phosphorous and makes it more available
to the bird. This reduces the phosphorous excreted by the birds into
the environment, whilst also improving production. Research trials at
universities and on commercial units
have enabled Optivite to produce
matrix values that allow diets to be
formulated with very significant savings in feed costs.

Kemin believes that complex diets
require an equal comparable mix of
enzymes to be truly effective. As
feed formulations vary in various
parts of the world, Kemzyme products also differ and are designed to
target these regional needs.
