Dr. Agnes Rimando receives USDA ARS MSA Technology Transfer

Dr. Agnes Rimando receives USDA ARS MSA Technology Transfer award
Congratulations to our 2012-2013 ACMAP
President, Dr. Agnes Rimando, for another award
this year.
Dr. Rimando, a Research Chemist with the U.S.
Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research
Service (ARS), Natural Products Utilization
Research Unit in Oxford, MS, was selected to
receive the 2014 USDA ARS Mid South Area
Technology Transfer Award. This award is an
acknowledgement of her contributions to the
research mission of the USDA ARS.

Dr. Rimando recently was awarded the 2014 Federal Laboratory
Consortium (FLC) Excellence in Technology Transfer Award for the
technology “Pterostilbene: It’s Role in Supporting Multiple Health
Benefits.” This award recognizes employees of FLC
member laboratories and non-laboratory staff who
have accomplished outstanding work in the process
of transferring federally developed technology.
Dr. Rimando formally received her FLC award on April 23, 2014. The
USDA ARS awarding will take place later this year.
