Includes provision for PBC and PBS, including prescription of RCP and RSP specifications, associated PBCS monitoring at the ANSP and regional levels, Annex 11 and inter-regional sharing of data from PBCS monitoring programs (adapted from RVSM provision for height-keeping performance monitoring). Includes provision for flight planning of PBC and PBS capability (e.g. P1 [RCP400] or P2 [RCP240] in item 10 of flight plan). Doc 4444 SASP – Includes separation standards that identify RCP and RSP specifications, as appropriate, to be prescribed. Performance-Based Communication and Surveillance (PBCS) Manual. ATS Voice, etc. 10-11 September 2014 Federal Aviation Administration 15 SATVOICE Accomplishments • Prepared Iridium equipped aircrafts for participation – 2 operators completed ground verification of crew, operational procedures of Iridium ATS SIM cards – Iridium ATS SIM cards now available from CSPs – Approx 40 aircrafts now Iridium ATS SIM equipped, another 40 currently planned. • Prepared Inmarsat equipped aircrafts for participation – 2 operators identified Inmarsat equipped candidate aircrafts ATS Voice, etc. 10-11 September 2014 Federal Aviation Administration 16 SATVOICE Next Steps • Complete Voice Evaluation Plan development including call sequence, data collection procedures • Complete remaining Iridium ATS SIM deployments to participating aircrafts • Complete procedure training of flight crew, operator dispatch, Radio Operators • Start operational flights of Iridium and Inmarsat equipped fleets • Collect initial RCP400 statistics ahead of PARC CWG, Sept. 8-9.
