Mode of action and resistance management
Australian vegetable growers can now benefit from innovative
chemistry when using DuPont™ Fontelis® fungicide. Fontelis® is a single
active Group 7 fungicide or SDHI (Succinate Dehydrogenase Inhibitor)
and contains a new active ingredient, Penthiopyrad.
With the DMIs (Group 3) and Strobilurins (Group 11) under resistance
pressure, there is an increasing need for new chemistry. The introduction
of Fontelis®, which provides protection from major diseases using one
mode of action, will help growers with resistance management strategies
today and into the future.
Beneficial Arthropod safety
Fontelis® has minimal impact on key beneficial Arthropods, making
it suitable for use in Integrated Pest Management programs. Fontelis®
has minimal impact on key beneficial species such as Honey bees,
Lacewings, Parasitoid wasps, Predatory mites and Predatory bugs.

Compatibility
DuPont™ Fontelis® fungicide is compatible with many
commonly used fungicides, insecticides and liquid fertilisers.
Compatibility trials have been conducted globally with more
than 250 tank mixes.
Fontelis® is considered compatible with Avatar ®, Coragen®,
Mancozeb, and Polyram*. DuPont™ Fontelis® contains a
percentage of mineral oil in the formulation which may
predispose oil sensitive products (such as Bravo*) to crop
damage if they are not applied according to the restrictions
referring to oils on their label.
