The Regular Meeting of the Environmental Commission of the Township of
Branchburg was called to order at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014, in the
Municipal Building, 1077 U.S. Highway 202 N, Branchburg, New Jersey by Deputy
Chairman Steven Olivetti,, members present were Messrs. Grenci, Pollock, and
Wizemann. Messrs. Chabrak, Merchant and Vitali were absent.
SUNSHINE STATEMENT- Read in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act.
Minutes Approved – May 7th, 2014 -Unanimously by Commission.
NEW BUSINESS:
NB1)
VERIZON WIRELESS (EAST PARKING LOT) 145 CHUBB WAY
CASE NO. 2014-008 P PFSP BLOCK 68.06 LOT 7
The application and plans for a Preliminary/Final Site Plan
approval for an additional 52 parking spaces on the easterly
side of the existing building was reviewed by the Commission.
A memo was sent to the Planning Board with no comments at
this time.

VERIZON WIRELESS (AMENDED) 145 CHUBB WAY
CASE NO. 2013-006 P PFSP BLOCK 68.06 LOT 7
The application and plans for an amendment to the Preliminary/Final
Site Plan approval for 4 new chillers within a structure attached
to the principal building on the westerly side of the existing
principal building was reviewed by the Commission. A memo was
sent to the Planning Board with no comments at this time.

SYMRISE – 170-180 INDUSTRIAL PARKWAY
CASE NO. 2014010 AUV – BLOCK 17 LOT 18 &19.01
The Application and plans for “d” variance approval for proposal
to construct two enclosed spray dryer units was reviewed by the
Commission. A memo was sent to the Board of Adjustment
addressing concerns. A copy is attached.

CASE NO. 2014-010 AUV – BLOCK 17 LOT 18
At an Environmental meeting on July 2nd, 2014 with a quorum present, the application for
the above-mentioned project was reviewed. The Commission has the following
comments:
During the meeting of the Environmental Commission it was brought to our attention that
the variance which we were to review at this time was only regarding the height of the
stacks for the proposed two new spray booths and that, if approved, additional
information regarding the installation of these spray booths would be provided for review
by the Commission.
Upon review of the proposed 68.5’ height of the proposed stacks for the spray booths,
there was no immediate concern regarding the height providing the 75’ treed buffer at the
rear of the property be maintained in place.
In addition, the Commission requests more information as to the technology to be used
for control of the stack emissions to better understand the need for the height variance.
