Basketball Game Change The basketball games on Islesboro originally set for 11/24 have been re-scheduled for Thursday,
December 11. The bus will leave AVS at 1:10 to catch the 2:00 ferry from Lincolnville Beach. Girls will play at
3:45 and the boys will follow. The Quicksilver water taxi will leave Islesboro at 7:00 to transport students and
any spectators back to Lincolnville Beach. A Luce bus will be waiting to bring teams back to AVS at
approximately 7:50. If parents or family members plan to ride the Quicksilver, please notify the AVS office. An
estimate for the number of passengers making this trip is needed. Team members and coaches travel free, but all
others are responsible for ferry and water taxi fees. Islesboro will have a food concession at the games. Contact
the office with any questions. Go Wildcats!

Lost and Found We have many lost and found items at our school. Please encourage your children to look through them
to claim anything which might be missing. A reminder: marking clothing with names or initials will assist us in
returning items to the correct owners. Items will be on display until our holiday vacation break, at which time
anything unclaimed will be donated to charity. Thank you for your help with this.
Attention Parents of Preschoolers If you have a child who is five years old on or before October 15, 2015, he/she is eligible to enroll in
Kindergarten this fall. Please contact the school office (785-4504) to place your child’s name on our list.
Registration will take place in the spring, but for budgeting purposes we are trying to determine the class size
now. Thank you for your help.
Winter Music Concert: Thursday, December 18

All students K-8 are working diligently to prepare for our performance. Students are encouraged to wear festive
seasonal clothing and colors such as Christmas sweaters, Santa hats, reindeer antlers, etc. Please no ripped
jeans. Band students should report to the stage at 5:15 pm, Chorus students at 5:30 pm, and all other students at
5:45 pm. Any questions should be directed to Mrs. Vargo.
Raffle Tickets being sold by 4th Graders to support the Learn to Ski/Snowboard Program This winter the Camden Snow Bowl will host its 24th year of the Learn to Ski/Snowboard Program for
4th graders! In order for this program to continue to be offered free of charge, the Camden Snow Bowl has
asked each 4th grader to sell 5 raffle tickets. Raffle proceeds are due by Friday, December 19th. Payment can be
cash or checks written to Camden Snow Bowl. Raffle tickets are $5 each and prizes include: season pass to the
Camden Snow Bowl; lift tickets and rentals to the Camden Snow Bowl; private lessons at the Camden Snow
Bowl; tobogganing passes at the Camden Snow Bowl; season lease package from Sidecountry Sports; kid's ski
package from Ragged Mountain Sports; youth membership to the Pen Bay YMCA; $50 gift certificate to Maine
Sport. Please contact a 4th grader, or Mrs. Ludwick, if you are interested in buying a raffle ticket. Thank you for
your support!
Basketball Sports Photos
Lifetouch will be here on Monday, December 15, to take Basketball team and individual photos. Boys will be at
3:00 and girls at 4:00. Order forms are available from team coaches and in the office.
